Not sure why all the complaining about Ivictory Coast. I think it works quite well in combining ‘victory coast’ (which is what a pitcher staked to a big lead would get) and ‘Ivory Coast’ to complete the pun. It doesn’t even seem that forced to me. Are the people who dislike it aware that there is an actual country in West Africa from which this new Razzterm draws its etymology?

@Steve, Yeesh, I feel like I was in this same situation not too long ago when I drafted Sergio Santos. If you pretend Myers is Santos, Lopez is Casey Janssen, and Cordero is Cordero, then the answer is Lopez (i.e. Janssen).

No offense taken, it wasn’t my glossary suggestion. Just kinda liked how it rolled off the tongue, even if Dave Otto was a bit of a no namer. But I suppose if even the stats don’t support him, it’s best to go a different way.

Free Room At The W is alright by me. Not a slam dunk winner, but definitely better than Ivictory coast.

It comes from the Latin X, which comes from the Greek X (chi), which was used because when the Spanish were translating from Arabic, they couldn’t translate to a “SH” sound because there is no “SH” sound in Spanish. Incidentally, this is also why Puerto Ricans get so loud when they get together.
