@Sea, I agree with you that he’s consistent and has growth potential. I’m down on him because the spike in homers he’s displayed this year doesn’t appear to be something he will sustain, especially since his home park limits home runs.

Everybody is consistently hard on Butler. What more do you want from a 7-9 round draft pick? He is my anchor on every team I’ve maintained for 3 years now. He as as solid, consistent and reliable as he gets, in every format. And his growth potential is real. Time to believe.

@Chris, Thanks! I appreciate the feedback. It’s amazing that Konerko hasn’t shown signs of slowing down at all. Good luck with Jones, but make sure not to pay too much, especially since he doesn’t walk much.

Nice post….

I play in a couple OPS leagues, and it’s nice to see the occasional post highlighting the format.

I know you had Konerko in 1 of your previous posts, and that guy has been an absolute stud at 1B w/ OPS. As solid and consistent a player as there is.

Been trying to trade for Jones (despite the expected dip in his future production), but no luck so far.

Sure hope ur right about Pujols. .900 OPS is rather weak for the machine
