@druss, Since it’s a keeper league I don’t think I’d drop Matt Adams right now. If you need to drop one of those guys for a middle reliever, I’d drop Ike Davis. I liked him going into this season, but he’s been brutal and hasn’t shown any signs of possibly turning things around.

what do I do with matt adams in a 10 team keeper league! 28 man roster!
Corey Hart just got 1B eligibility in my league! And I had drafted Ike Davis/ Brandon Belt ! So that clearly sucked!
Drop Matt adams and pick up a middle reliever ?

@Sweetcobra, Awesome on getting Romero off the wire for Chacin! I actually like Garcia over Hammel and Zambrano, so I’d recommend hanging onto him if those two are your best alternatives. Garcia has been fairly unlucky (his FIP is 2.74, despite his ERA being 4.48), and I don’t really trust the other guys to maintain near their current performance.

A week ago it would’ve been a no brainer to start Aramis instead of Hosmer, but he’s been hitting well over the past couple days. If your league has daily lineup changes, I would consider playing Hosmer against righties (like most left-handed hitters, he’s struggled against lefties), except for top-tier righties, and play Ramirez on the other days. Without daily lineup changes, I’d probably stick with Ramirez, unless Hosmer keeps hitting well for a couple more weeks and Ramirez doesn’t improve.

@Tom Jacks, Thanks! You were right about picking up decent pitching off of the waiver wire. I dropped Chacin for Ricky Romero and I’m also thinking of dropping Jaime Garcia for either Jason Hammel or Carlos Zambrano. Are these good looks? I don’t really have too much faith in Zambrano, and I’ve never even heard of Hammel.

Also, on the subject of Aramis (which peaked my interest to post): Would it be wise to start him over Hosmer as soon as his quad is healed up? They both seem to be having somewhat identical seasons, but lately I’ve been feeling that Aramis will have a better second half than Hosmer.

@Sweetcobra, Thanks for reading! I’d definitely start Longoria at 3B when he gets back and move Hanley to SS. I’d also try to shop Andrus for a 1B upgrade over Hosmer or Tex, unless you can land a top pitcher. Otherwise, I think in a 10 team league there’s typically decent pitching available off of the waiver wire.

@TheNewGuy, No harm in trying to shop him now on name value, but don’t bite on a real lowball offer. I think you might be able to land somebody like Morse, Aramis, Cuddyer, or Youk. I’d strongly consider any of those above Zimmerman in an OPS league.

SP-Beachy, Miley, Scherzer, Strasburg, Zimmerman
RP-Jensen, Myers
Bench-Chacin, Jaime Garcia

I have a pretty solid lineup, for the most part. I feel like I have way too many 3B. Longoria is supposed to come back mid-June and I feel like he’s going to be the best bet. So when Longoria comes back, should I start him? Who would be my best bet at SS then–H. Ramirez or Andrus? When I get that mess figured out I should have some trade value for either H. Ramirez, Andrus, as well A. Ramirez.

That brings on a whole other set of questions. With that trade value, do I bolster my pitching? Or trade for hitters? Ugh… I don’t know. I don’t know.

I hate Ryan Zimmerman, like many who drafted him this year.

Am I better attempting to trade him based on his name value, or won’t I get much for him right now. If you do advise a trade, what kind of CI could I get for him?

Lucky I drafted E5 to take his place at 3B in my lineup else I really would be screwed!
