The Rockies love his defense and just hoping for ok production. I’m not that enamored with his AAA stats last year b/c he was repeating AAA. I think best case is .280/10 HR/15 SB.

I’d consider him a last 2 round selection as MI in a 12-team league. That’s where I drafted him in my expert league when several players chose 4th IF for their bench. Since then, I’ve dropped him in favor of Yuniesky Betancourt who I think is a safer pick. Decent chance they move him to #2 hole at some point as he’s got more speed than Jose Lopez and Jose Vidro.

I have too many low double digit HR types (Millar, Mora, Crede, Blake, Monroe, C. Patterson, Rowand and JD Drew). At least my MI has some serious power outage downside: Jose Lopez, Kaz Matsui and Tony Pena, Jr. No chance of breakouts there.

The draft was a blast. It was heartbreaking though watching all my most hated favorites fly off the board early: Kotsay, Kendall, Wilkerson, Iwamura, Adam Everett and Jerry Owens. It was good to see the old adage about not reaching too early for pitching applies in all leagues. Livan might have been a bit of a stretch, but he is the Johan/Peavy equivalent in Razzball. His kind of futility mixed from an innings eater is pure turd.. or gold.

If my hitting fails me, at least I can count on my horrid pitching to pull me through. With Livan Hernandez, Vicente Padilla, Mark Hendrickson, Jose Conteras, Daniel Cabrera, Scott Olsen, Jeff Suppan, Doug Davis, Brad Thompson, Mark Mulder and Joe Borowski, I could be sitting ugly down the stretch drive.
