I am in a 12 team keeper 5 x 5 and have been thinking of pulling the deal on an offer of his Latos and Lind for my Lester. I could use a power boost and my starting pitching has been pleasant also have Gallardo, Marcum, Chacin, T. Hudson, Kuroda, Volquez, and the recently picked up Myers. Is giving up a top 10 pitcher too much for those guys? The only player in the deal I value as a keeper (we keep 4) is Lester. Thanks.

You’re in a 20 team league with a six man bench. There are very few bench players available who get regular playing time to put on your bench. So do you grab as many big time prospects as you can to fill out your bench and wait patiently for some of them to get the call up, or do you fill out your bench with every lesser prospect who ectually gets a call up and has a shot at some regular playing time. Guys like Duda for example. Seems if you are grabbing every schmowhawk who gets the call because of an injury, you stand a chance of catching lightning in a bottle now and then. As opposed to having a bench full of guys like Chisenhall an Moustakas and waiting around for 3 months. In the past ive always opted to grab the best talent and sit on them. But now I’m questioning that strategy. Maybe a spray and pray method of filling out a bench is a better tactic. Throw enough darts and some will stick.
