@Tony: Yeah, that is who the Indians received for the Colon trade. I would submit that most of the backlash from the media about trading stars for prospects is due to our immediate/present focused attention spans. We typically only think in the here-and-now, especially when building a contender (i.e. think Yankees). However, even the Yankees have to have a studded farm system if they want to trade for top stars that can immediately help their team (same with Boston). The farm system is comparable to the NFL Draft. It just takes more time for baseball players to make it to the big leagues than NFL players/rookies to make an impact - same scenario for college basketball and NBA. (Same can be said about the AHL and NHL, the many levels of soccer.) Essentially, this boils down to Media/present vs GM thinking towards future. That is just my two-cents, and I would love to discuss this more.

@Grey: word... just catch olivio-nuts on a hot streak.... @Stephen: yep i'd love to work for an organization too. It couldn't be too hard to deal away CC and Cliff Lee could it? I know when we traded Bartolo we received, Cliff Lee, Grady, and Brandon Phillips, or 2 of those 3, can't rememeber now, and it looked horrible then, but ya.... i think i could pull off trading a cy young for prospects. I'm gonna forward him rudys article on moreno too, LOL where has RUDY been????

@Stephen: good article, i emailed the link to my wife's cousin who is in the sales Dept for the team, selling tickets to watch the pirates couldnt be easy but he said THANKS FOR THE AMMO TO COMBAT THE ASSHOLES ON THE PHONE. He also said they've ONLY had 17 straight losing seasons not 18 haha.... I dont know if that makes it any better...

@mrbaseball: Hehe. @brad@Grey: I could actually see his ADP raise once more pundits are getting the hype around him built up. The real question is, "Who is reaching for a rookie third/first basemen?" Those two positions are a bit deeper than I was led to believe. If he's around when Grey predicts he'll be. I would be all over him like gravy on turkey-day.
