@Quintero: Something I forgot to mention about Allen - he was ranked the #6 prospect in Chicago's farm system. A nice random fact, he hit two homers off David Price in 2008 while at Double-A. Additionally, Baseball America says that his defense is getting better each year and isn't atrocious. Matter-of-fact, its marginally average. He struggles with striking out, has average walk rates, and Godzilla size power. He wont be a high average hitter, but could develop 25 to 30 homers per season when in his prime, and possibly 30 to 35. I would compare him to Carlos Pena (I saw someone compare him to Ryan Howard, that would be a stretch). If he gets 500-550 at-bats: 65/22/80/.255/8 If he platoons w/375 AB: 45/13/58/.265/4 @Ryan: Thanks for comment and the spell check on McAnaney, I must have overlooked that when I was spell checking myself. I mentioned Ollie Linton in the "Honorable Mentions" section, but can you explain why he is "garbage" so we can all know what you mean by that. Additionally, Luis Gonzales when he hit 50 homers or when he hit for average power? Also, Parra never hit more than eight homers in a season or had more than 27 doubles. In four years Parra had 24 homers in the minors - mainly low minors at that. I would say he's more Kenny Lofton than Luis Gonzalez.

I have seen 90% of the Dbacks low-A games for the past 3 years. Parra’s high side is Luis Gonzalez with some speed. Parker will be the real deal. Ollie Linton is garbage, take him off the radar. Collmenter has a funky delivery and might be a worthwhile #4 starter someday. He is a nice guy with a very quirky sense of humor. He could write for this site. And it is Pat McAnaney.

@GopherDay: Oops. I need to start reading better than that. I'd still hold onto Hellickson, I think Pena is a lock for 30 HR if healthy next year. However, you already seemed reserved and hesitant to make the deal. Trust your gut.

@Stephen: I'm pretty sure he would be getting Halladay and Pena and losing Hill, Hellickson and Cahill. @Charlie: I don't really like the deal for you. Halladay and Pena are expensive, and you have Hill, Cahill, and Hellickson for really cheap. And like you said Halladay might be moving to the NL.

Offered Carlos Pena (27) and Doc Holladay (28) for Aaron Hill (11), Trevor Cahill (6), and Jeremy Hellickson (5).

Things to consider: AL only/keep 15 so Doc could be leaving, league counts OPS and K/BB, my team was pretty power deficient last year and I have Jose Lopez as my first base keeper right now. If I trade Hill, Lopez slots to second. Player salary increases 10% a year and I believe the cap is set at 345 this year. Peavy just got 38 dollars on the open market so 28 for Halladay is a decent deal.
