I see him arriving June 22 as a best guess. That would be the day after the Royals finish a series of 9 games in two weeks in National league parks, kicking Butler back to DH and Hosmer back to 1b, opening up an OF slot. Just a guess though.

@Scott Evans, FOR SURE!!! He does know what he is doing. Look at the Cardinals and where they are right now. I dont think he was a GM in St. Louis but I know he brought them a lot of knowledge on scouting and developing players. Look at the talent they aquired while he was there Freese Descalso Carpenter Rasmus Shelby Miller etc. etc. They wouldnt be where they are now without him. And Houston looks to have the most young talent in the National League, IMO. Houston is without a doubt in a good position to make a World Series run within the next few years. They have prospects to trade or to develop. I cant believe they traded Anthony Gose after they acquired him in one of the Pence Oswalt trades.

@MR304, Look for Houston to only improve in the player procurement/development department. Jeff Luhnow is a mastermind & he'll surely be making a splash next week at the draft, and be dipping into the Latin markets shortly thereafter.

They did however lose Hunter Pence in the trade as well but they got the better end of the deal still if you consider that Oswalt only pitched 1 year for the phillies and then had injuries and more imjuries before becoming a free agent. They freed up Cap Space and added talent for years

The Houston Astros and Kansas City Royals have some of the best young players in the league. These two teams are gonna be serious contenders for years to come if they can keep doing what they have been. The Roy Oswalt trade helped the Astros out considerably. They got Singleton who in my opinion is gonna be an MVP in the bigs before too long. Why they traded Anthony Gose for Wallace I have no idea considering the upside that Gose has. And they got Happ. When you consider the age of Oswalt and injuries they def. got the better end of the deal. The Royals hace Wil Myers. Bubba Starling Jarrod Dyson Montgomery Moustakas Hosmer Perez Butler Escobar Cain Crow Duffy the list goes on and on and on. The Royals are looking to be a Franchise that is gonna be simply AMAZING in the next couple years.

@Scott Evans, Ivs never been a big fan of Cain and I think they moved Melky to free up space for the future is now guys. I have always had the hardest time getting a read on the Royals and the Blue Jays when it comes to their minor leaguers. Now that you said July then I guess that means he will be up next week

@Jack Full of Hate, Can't stress enough that these ETA's are extremely hard to predict. They depend on so many variables & in many cases (Matt Adams, for one), it simply comes down to injury. I have a feeling we'll see Myers in July, however. Omaha is using him in CF mostly, and I think that's his quickest route to KC.

@Steve, Very hard to say. Kennedy has been the worst in the bunch of recent, but I doubt they'd demote him to the 'pen. Because there's no ready opportunity, I'd lean toward no promo for Bauer in the next few weeks. These ETA's are extremely hard to forecast, though.

I could be wrong, but shouldn't that catch still be considered a homerun? As i recall, you can catch a ball and go into the stands in foul territory and it is an out, but if it is over wall in-play, then it's a HR.
