Yeah it is a roto keeper, and I know all keeper formats are different so kinda hard to evaluate at times. I like our system, it’s one where you can keep up to 8, and players prices go up depending on no of years you give them (1yr +$3) (2yrs + $6) (3yrs +$8). And prospects start at $0 when called up by us.

Think i might hold off on this deal then, it’s the safer move after all being in 1st, especially as there’s no guarantee I could find a buyer for Cole come the deadline – closer ETA guys were more in demand last year. Im guessing ETA on Cole is around 2014?

Been a whirlwind couple weeks w/ travel & work & whatnot. Anyway. Streakiness doesn’t really bother me in a roto format. I’ll avoid streaky guys in h2h leagues, but I don’t mind a guy like Bruce in roto cuz you know that sooner or later he’ll get his. I don’t mind the deal because of the keeper contract situation, but clearly your immediate OF production is going to dwindle w/ LoMo.

Am thinking of offloading Jay Bruce as im pretty frustrated in his streakiness, plus he only really hits at home. My idea is to get a decent bat and top prospect in return, and if I need a boost could then shop the prospect to sellers for an impact bat come the deadline.

Heres the possible trade, let me know what you think of it:
J Bruce (final year of keeper contract) and a low-end prospect (N Franklin, B Peacock, J Segura) FOR L Morrison (keepbable at $11) and G Cole (prospect).

I am in 1st though so if it’s risky or overthinking let me know. Im just kinda thinking there may not be a massive difference between Bruce and LoMo 2nd half now LoMo’s heating up, plus I really like Cole.

Good to see Nick Castellanos coming on, sounded like he hit a bomb in the futures! Wish I coulda seen it.

Rebuilding is frustrating from a big league perspective, but it’s fascinating from a MiLB vantage. We’re I an Astros fan, I’d be with you, tracking the farm… and I guess I kind of am with you, cuz I’m a huge Luhnow fan & I’m really rooting for him.
