@Baron Von Vulturewins: Man, I had both Nady and Swisher . . . and dropped Swisher for Senor Goodface. Cue the violins. Needless to say (but I'm saying it anyways) he lasted about two days as a FA before he was picked up. Moral of the story: Bonifacio is going to be the NL MVP to justify my move. Totally no wishful thinking involved here. None at all.

Dice-K update –
The Red Sox have placed Daisuke Matsuzaka on the 15-day disabled list with a tired shoulder and recalled lefthanded reliever Hunter Jones from Pawtucket.

It is uncertain for now who will take Matsuzaka’s next turn in the rotation, though Masterson, who struck out six in four innings last night, would seem to to be the best bet. It also may be dependent on the status of Josh Beckett, who is appealing his six-game suspension — one start — for nearly hitting the Angels’ Bobby Abreu with a pitch Sunday.

The team is hoping Jones will be in Oakland for today’s game since they wiped out the bullpen in the 10 innings of scoreless relief last night.

With Aramis out, I’ve got to choose between Reynolds and Davis as my 3b today. Reynolds is in the lineup today, batting 5th against righty Piniero. Not sure if Davis will be in the lineup tonight or not but Texas is facing LHP Hendrickson. Davis did hit a HR last night but followed that with 3 K’s. Will he get a “day off” today?

@Grey: So, if you're jumping ship on Motte, would you drop him in favor of R. Soriano in hopes that he'll take the closer role eventually? Or not worth wasting a roster spot on hoping for that? @Baron Von Vulturewins: Aha! The other owners in my league scoffed at my late-round Swisher pick! I don't hear them laughing now! ...though I'm sure I'll hear it again when he goes 0-40 in May.

Grey: been able to watch the Brew Crue thanks to MLB Extra Innings, and Prince/Braun have been noticeably absent. Weeks is off to a shockingly decent start, and Hart and Hardy have definitely contributed, but they need those two if they are going to outhit their bad SP. Still, I wouldn't want to spot start anyone in Miller Park with the power potential of that Brewers' lineup...

Anybody think Micah Owings is worth a start in NL Only formats tonight vs. the Brewers? I’m kind of inclined to do so just because he was strong at the very beginning of last year (4-0, 2.42 ERA), and he seemed to have a good spring. On the other hand, I can’t count his hitting stats.

Yeah that’s what I thought you had said before. ESPN and Yahoo have the rotowire blurp with a Denver Post guy (Troy Renck) if they are stinkin it up it would be Atkins in June/July. The spin has it with Helton at first and Stewart at 3rd.

@Frank Rizzo: i like anibel over davies b/c he pitches in the NL. i'd lean towards big unit over anibel because of his track record but he's such a crapshoot given his age. i'd probably go with anibel just to avoid the injuries and potential for collapse....
