@Grey: @Stephen: The moment is closing. We are having a waiver draft in my H2H dynasty(Batter Cats: R,H,HR,RBI,SB,BB,TB,FPCT,AVG,OPS). In front of me, it's either Pedro Alvarez or Michael Stanton. Who should I get? None of them needs to play right away, and I got Butler at 1B/Stewart at 3B, no project at CI. (Smoak, Jesus Montero, Chris Carter, and Carlos Santana are all available, but I got Soto at C and might trade for a draft pick if Smoak or Carter drops) If I got Alvarez, then I might be set for corner for the next few years, but Stanton is kinda a tier ahead in terms of power. If I got Stanton, then I might have to look a project for future CI. What a decision! Feel like I'm taking this to seriously! Anyway, hope you guys could help me out on this. Thanks in advance.

as in Captain Crunch ??

i may be off , by a few years , but ,
back in the ’70′s captain crunch came out with a new (2nd) flavor .
it was called ‘Nilla Crunch , and it was the best cereal ever made .
no cereal , before or since , was ever this delicious .
no sticky-residue caramel after-taste ,
just pure sweet vanilla flavor .

alas , the product only had a “run” of a year or two , before it was
taken off the market .
this began a series of life-events , leading to this conclusion :
it seems the more i like something , the sooner somebody wants to
take it away from me .

today , all i have left is the spoon .
the spoon is a marvelous invention .
i whole-heartedly endorse spoons …. always have …. always will .
my life would be poorer , without the spoon .

and if the sons-of-bitches wanna take spoons away ,
well , screw ‘em .

I haven’t commented in about ten years, but I’ve enjoyed reading all the stuff. I don’t have a keeper league so there’s not a ton of Fantasy Baseball business for me these days. Keep up the good stuff.

By the way, I wonder if Jamie McCourt owns all the Dodgers on her FANTASY team. That would explain some things.

Crazy how Mike Stanton learns a lesson. You won’t get any girls, not as much money and not close to the amount of fantasy attention as a set up guy. Congrats to him on getting into the DeLoreon and starting his career over as a power hitter.

@Grey: Yeah it is a bit bigger. We loved our last place, but we had outgrown it. It's a bit nicer suburb too with perhaps a slightly better school for the kids. House is older though - more like 100 yrs old as opposed to 80 years old!

@big o: Pujols is the number one pick then Hanley. Kemp's between 7 and 10. Can't pass by guys who have put up the numbers to take a guy because he can do something, especially in the first round.

on another site , the 2 resident experts are conducting their own 12-team slow mock draft , by alternating picks …. and giving their rationale .
thus far :
1. hanley …. positional scarcity
2. kemp …. 30/30 … possible 30/40 potential

obviously some readers are taking them to task for by-passing pujols ,
but the defense is ==> that kemps’ numbers will improve , because he won’t be hitting 7-8th in the order for 69 games , like he did in ’09 .

my problem is , if kemp bats clean-up the entire year , i expect his stolen base number to DEcrease .
your thoughts on this ?

wouldn’t you expect hanley’s stolen base number to decrease , if he were to bat in the middle of the line-up , all year long ??

maybe some stat-folks can provide some numbers ???
