My opponent kept him, adding Neil Walker at the expense of a 2-start arm. With my last two of our 80 roster moves, on Sunday (the only day we’re allowed to make moves – except in the case of season-ending injury) I dumped Westbrook for Pelfrey and Jaime for Stauffer.

@Grey: Great headline. Freakin’ Zambrano. Still don’t know why I drafted him back in March and it pisses me off even more – since I dumped him when he got sent to the pen. Oh well. We’re leading in the finals and hey look, Dempster and Pelf didn’t take a crap on me tonight (I got Slowey and Cahill poo all over my ratios). Been a battle of whose pitching is less-worse and so far mine is winning the dubious distinction.

So my plan to win ERA/WHIP is working out good. Too good that I went nosing around for ESPN H2H league rules. I read that there is a limit of 10 ip set within all STANDARD H2H Leagues, however there is nothing that suggests that it is an automatic setting in Custom Leagues.

It states that the categories of WHIP and ERA will be grayed out until a manager eclipses 10 ip, however the font color is very black in my league with the 1 ip.

Anyone have any experience with this?

So, in an ESPN roto league (such as, say, an RCL), if a team goes over its starts limit, can the team, on the same day it goes over the limit, pick up a bunch of RP and then get stats for those RPs for the rest of the year? Or does a team that’s over the limit get no stats from any pitcher, SP or RP, from the day after they go over the limit on? I thought the latter was the case but am confused by some moves I’ve seen lately.

2. Ike for 2 games vs Brewers – somehow has a 7 game hit streak with 0 RBI. But 2 games is better than 1, right?

@Wilsonian: Yes, I just saw that they finally got their ish together. I check for matchup score updates all the time as well. The iphone app is very handy. My Cy Young vote would go to Price. Pitched way better than expected, and pretty much carried his staff and team to a playoff spot in the toughest division in baseball. When in doubt, I like to give the nod to the guy who wasn't supposed to do this good.
