Keep Matusz…with the added offensive talent this year, he should hold up well…even if he has to face BoSox and Yanks every other start. Davis has the same problem, but isn’t as talented in the long-run. If you can find a way to keep both, it wouldn’t hurt, but cut Davis if it comes down to it. Carmona shouldn’t even be in consideration when looking long-term.

I just had a chance to draft Belt in my league’s supplemental minor league draft, and I passed. He’s one of those guys I’ll be following intently to see if that decision bites me in the ass, though. I’m curious to watch him go a full season in the upper minors, as some of his rates this season have been unbelievable in the true sense of the word. Scouting reports suggest he’s got a long swing with holes that better pitching can exploit, and the lack of top-line power potential always makes me weary from a firstbase bat. Still can’t argue with production like that over a full season’s worth of AB’s, irregardless of league and level.

Actually, the stadium in San Jose is a pretty extreme pitcher’s park. The Cal League on the whole is hitter-friendly, though.

Thanks for Belt. I love his OBP and K:BB. He reminds me of Billy Butler with some speed… the type of guy projected to have avg. and power, but eventually falls short of expectations in the power department.

I LOVE Moore. I’ve owned him in my dynasty league since ’08, and seeing him progressing this way is amazing!
