@Darrin: Chances he keeps hitting three home runs a week? Slim to anorexic. Can he get to 30 home runs? Probably. He's about a home run/15 at-bat guy. LaRussa's your biggest obstacle right now because there's a chance he starts some other schmohawks in the outfield over Ludwick on occasion and Rasmus is waiting in the wings too. Anyway, for $2, you're already playing with house money. Be happy with what you get! (I'd say that will be 65/28/80/.270.)

@cruisinkc: Well, Hamels I like a lot more than those other two, but you shouldn't be adding much to Felix to make that trade happen. Say a hot hitter that you grabbed off waivers. Like a Ludwick, for instance.

@cruisinkc: There's reason to be concerned that CC has thrown too many innings the last few years. On the other hand, Felix is a bit of an injury risk. Either way, not a big fan of apples for apples trades and this appears to be one. CC won't be that much better to warrant this trade. I'd pass.

Hey love the site. Looking for advice on a trade. I’m in a keeper league and a guy that is currently rebuilding is looking to get younger. So, I was thinking about trading him king felix for CC Sabathia. My pitching isn’t the greatest but my team is still in 2nd so i’m looking to make improvements. Fair trade? Will CC be better the rest of the year then felix?

I think counting pitches is junk science just so you know. But if these great baseball minds are convinced that high pitch counts lead to injury then why is this young pitcher out there throwing 130 pitches? They usually start getting really concerned at the 100 mark.

I guess their stance is that throwing that many pitches is reckless and irresponsible UNLESS he is going for an individual achievement that will provide the team nothing more than the one “W” they are being credited in the win column to begin with.

@Kevin: I think you answered it yourself, he had a no no going. Its an unwritten rule among managers that you cannot pull the pitcher if he has no hitter going, unless the pitcher requests it.

Did you see Lester’s pitch count last night? I just heard it on the radio. If we are all so obsessed over counting pitches then why was he allowed to throw 130?? And this from a young pitcher, who is particularly babied in today’s game. I guess it is not that dangerous if the pitcher has a no hitter going. I can’t help but roll my eyes at this.

Trying to convince someone that EE is as valuable as Miguel Cabrera or Peralta as valuable as Carlos Guillen based on their mid-May stats is the kind of argument that will drive other owners to stop returning your emails. Well, going by the numbers alone EE is on par with Miggy with a few more Runs and Peralta has more power than Guillen with the same Runs and RBIs..so yea, its minuscule upgrade that I probably wouldn’t net me Lee (but hey, you gotta sway the system in your favor somehow). How bout CoJack and EE or Peralta?
