I have Greinke & Baker today. Not really good choices but who should I start. Right now I have Greinke starting and Baker benched.
I’m in 5th/8th in all pitching categories.

Adam Wainwright update.
2 hits, 0 runs, 6 Ks through 4 innings at Springfield so far. 55 pitches.
He’ll probably have one more rehab start then back to the starting rotation with the Carp injury.
Wish I wouldn’t have traded Perez to Doc.
@BigFatHippo: Harang does seem done in every league.
@Steve: Well, you won’t get Ks, but Suppan’s the safest, Morton would have some more K upside, Padilla’s not starting tomorrow from what I’m looking at.

@Grey: Up 6-1 in Saves and 3-0 in Holds, but a million behind in ERA and WHIP. Also in with a chance of taking Wins and Ks so just throwing the dregs out there to see what happens. Might win a couple of categories I’ve virtually punted this year.
Going OK, too – a win from de la Rosa yesterday and Anibal (thanks Grey!) and Petit are looking good today.

@Grey: Currently 6th, but an 8-3 or so should get me to fourth but it’s tight from 3rd to about 7th.
If I can get to the playoffs when the margin of victory doesn’t matter I will hopefully be tough to beat

I have a leaguemate who is sick of Rollins and wants Atkins back. I am thinking of asking for Rollins/Beckett and giving Atkins/Tulo. If you think that will be vetoed than what about simply Tulo/Atkins for Beckett?
I have to strike while the frustration is high because he historically gets cold feet.

No, I pick him up every year at the end of the season and he smokes it like wakeNbake. You can plug him in any weak position and he’ll outperform any option you got, trust me.
This week alone, 9 Runs, 3 HRs, 9 RBI, .560 avg.
Not to mention the homer he hit today. Make it 4.
Name one outfielder that can top that. I play him at MI, sweet.

Did you see it? Beckett and Harang were at dinner together last night and whatever advice Harang was offering – Beckett believed him like I did. 8 runs in 2.1 innings!?

june 9th, gave up ludwick and byrnes(who other owner eventually dropped) to get alex rios
at that time all the “perts” were saying sell high on ludwick and buy low on rios and now im kinda regrettin’ it. Rios is hitting pretty good but way less power from last season but he has more sb.

@Grey: A thousand apologies – should have just asked you this in the first place. How do you rank Dickerson, Span and Gomez if you’re lookng for a speedy bench guy?
@Steve: I’d put Dickerson as the most risk/upside cause the least is known about him by other teams, Span seems to have the best skill set for a leadoff man (high OBP), but less speed than Gomez. As a part-time fill-in type who only plays on Mondays or Thursday or when someone is hurt, I go Gomez because he’s the biggest speed threat, but he may not play every day. So he’s the least interesting every day play out of those three.

I’ve just traded Rios away for Burrell so want a bit of SB insurance.

@Grey: He’s caused me a lot of grief this year. I was always keen on him and wanted to draft him but BJ Upton had slipped to the end of the 3rd round but then got taken ONE SPOT in front of me. So I took Rios and have spent all season trying to fill a black hole at 2B. Would have been nice to get Upton and then have grabbed someone like McLouth off the wire.
Rios’ steals have been great, but the rest of his stats have been a bit of a drain over the season.
He’s dead to me now though.
