@The Talented Mr. Dope man, I agree about the auction. I’m in a competitive auction league of 10 and draft day is the best day of the fantasy year. It’s a different strategy than straight drafts. Both can be fun but the snakes are frustrating when the guy you want goes one pick before it’s your turn. With an auction there is more control. Plus the endless bantering when a player goes “too high”. Online isn’t as good no matter which method of draft.

@The Talented Mr. Dope man, True, I’m sure an auction draft is a ton of fun. I did one online once and it kind of blew. Seems like a live, in-person draft would be a lot more enjoyable.

But it’s hard to find 10-12 people who would be dedicated leaguemates who can get together for one day out of the year. Yeah, I know, how did we ever get to the Moon, eh?

There’s a guy in one of my AL only auction leagues that is keeping verlander for $38 and keeps trying to tell me how it’s “a steal”. RIDICULOUS. I try not to pay more than $30 for any player in auction leagues.

Just a random thought… Seems like most of you razzballers use a snake draft format for fake baseball. You guys should really look into auction leagues. Best day of the year is when everyone gets together, rent out a bar, and just sit there for 8-10 hours BS’ing about baseball. Cant wait.

Plus the fact that you actually have a chance to obtain every possible player.

@royce!, Brandon McCarthy uses to hit all the bars around comiskey when he was on the white sox a few years ago (usually with Brian Anderson and Ozzie Guillens son). He was an alright guy, but he thought he was gods gift to the female gender. Sad thing is, he usually “struck out” pretty hard each night and ended up “walking” home alone ( see what I did there). Brian Anderson can really booze! That dude would take shot for shot, then you would see him playing CF the next day, letting balls fly over his head… Haha

@Grey, Wally gave 6 names and I can only keep 5…But I think Cruz, Lee, Andrus, and Tex are pretty sure fire keepers.

It comes down to Posey, Grienke, and Howard for my last keeper spot. Would you suggest going with Greinke as a second pitcher and pretty much ignore pitching, or go with Posey and hope for the best with his injury (But he is a catcher), or Howard and pray his injury doesn’t keep him out too long.

Long story short: Greinke, Posey or Howard as my last keeper?

Re: tattoos– I’m thinking of an image of tumbling dice, but instead of dice, it’ll be alphabet blocks. You know, age appropriate. And educational!

I think you might be thinking of “choux,” which is a pastry dough used in profiteroles, eclairs, etc. “Chou” means cabbage. Then again, you might be thinking of “chou”; I’ve only ever eaten one french thing with cabbage and it was delightful.
