I also believe they will conduct themselves like all other organizations with stud prospects and wait until June to call him up to avoid added service time, especially since that is why they didn’t call Moustakas up in September this year. The benefit of starting him in the minors is a longer time frame until he is arbitration eligible.

A lot of KC fans here wanted him up this September, but ‘we don’t want to shake his confidence’ so we let him finish his stellar year in the minors. What’s the benefit of starting next year in the minors? He’s gotta start seeing some ML pitchers.

Mesoraco, if he plays well early next year could help out in mid-2011 (June/July). I personally think Belt would be the safest bet and makes more contact than Sands. I personally want Belt, Sands and Mesoraco a distant third.

I would say both are June Call-ups if they perform well early. Hosmer should get a call-up in September.
