H thought Russ Martin was one of the catchers. Just wondering if you remember, if you don't its bo big deal.

Just to clarify, the Mayan’s calendar ends in December of 2012. So you can still draft Heyward for the 2012 season, if it so pleases you.

@sean: Agreed, but I don't think the Rockies go into the season with all the names you list. They need to move on from Atkins and perhaps Spilborghs. Smith's probably a 4th outfielder for them and in the Mauer post I wrote yesterday (that won't be published for at least a few weeks, I talk about Iannetta -- Liking him for next year). I wrote about EY Jr. in a keeper post in August. I'm a big fan. Just need him to get the job.

@Grey: I know the playing time picture will get a little clearer as spring training nears, but COL has some really interesting battles. (Stewart, Atkins, Smith, EYjr, Barmes, CarGo, Spilsy, Hawpe, and Fowler for 5 spots). With Helton, Tulo, and Iannetta, the Rox could have the deepest lineup in the NL.

CHONE has EYjr slotted as a 2B and projects in 493 ABs a line of 100/8/38/39/.274. Those are monster numbers from the middling infidel spot.

@Jibberish: You have to consider his number last season as a ceiling. Barring injury, I would think that Mauer is a lock for 75/20/80/.320. I would think that has to make him a top-30 player.
