@Grey: You’re right of course. I’m just worried about possibly falling behind in a couple of categories blowing a semifinal because I was to scared to drop a middle reliever or two.

I’d still have Kuo, Buchholz and Downs as Holds guys, with the hope I could grab Bell back again or someone like Pena/Nelson/Stokes/Duaner off the wire. I have a huge bunch of schmohawk closers so I’m OK there.

The other side of this is I would have to bench a couple of starters to fit these guys in. Is two servings of Overbay going to be more satisfying than one helping of Carlos Pena?

At ths point I’m leaning towards dropping Bell and Wood for Overbay and Crisp. I don’t think I can drop three of my guys. My opponent has V-Mart, Ellsbury and The Ass-Dribble as DH guys tomorro, so not exactly the heavy artillery. He also has Vlad and he must be due to sit soon…

I expect to make it to the finals of my Yahoo h2h league, and it is a 2 week period starting Monday. I’m wondering, though, does anyone know if during the first week I can make changes to my lineup for the second week? I have been approaching it as if I could not, and just realized that it was possible. I would have to drastically alter my strategy, I think.

@Steve: You should take advantage, but how many of those can you legitimately lose? Aren't you relievers only? I'd grab them in this order Overbay, Guillen, Crisp, Butler, The Big FraGu, punt. Then drop Heath, Wood, Devine then Arredondo. I'd only really want to drop Heath though. @SoS: That's a great question. I see Wolf vs. Dempster scheduled, but I wouldn't be surprised if that changes. That news should come out in the next day or so. @Baron Von Vulturewins: Velez has been hotter, but is less assured of playing time. If you're choosing between them, I'm going to assume you're looking for steals and steals only. In that case, I'd go Patterson then Velez.

Couple of doubleheaders on Saturday – at this time of the year, you gotta take advantage, right? (My opponent has three guys going in DHs)

Possible pickups: Butler, J Guillen, DeJesus, Scutaro, The Big Fra-Gu, Francisco, Crisp, Overbay.

My possible drops: Wood, Devine, Bell, Arredondo.

Thoughts?

That asshole Gonzalez only seems to do anything when the guy that owns him is my opponent.
That could be just me, though.
