Taking his name from the Telemundo reruns of Kojak, Ubaldo Jimenez currently has a 3.86 ERA, a 3.33 FIP (Fielding Independent Pitching) and a 3.71 Away ERA. Chuck in a 7.63 K/9 and a schedule right after the break of either away games or easy matchups. In the 2nd half last year, Ubaldo had a 3.68 ERA and almost a K an inning. I’d grab him (and not start him at home vs. the Braves or any other tough matchups at home). Is Ubaldo going to win you a league? Doode, I don’t even know your league. Ubaldo is not just a cute name. No, sir (or sire, if you’re a time traveler), he’s a matchups pitcher! Anyway, here’s some more players to buy or sell this week in fantasy baseball:
BUY
Jorge de la Rosa – Hey, it’s all about the Rockies pitchers. Sweet, I always wanted to lose my fantasy baseball league! What, no more Padres hitters? Cute, random italicized voice. He has a 3.89 ERA Away from Coors and he strikes out more than one batter per inning. If you’re in a daily league, he’s worth a spot for matchups.
Dexter Fowler – 4 steals in the last week. SAGNOF!
Franklin Gutierrez – In a week that saw the actor that played The Big Ragoo wash ashore with a DUI, The Big FraGu hit 2 homers and batted .429. He’ll hit for some power and run with some speed while singing & dancing.
Rafael Furcal – He’s been on fire lately. If you’re hurting at SS (and who isn’t), you might see if you can get him for cheap. Though at this point any Furcal owner is probably holding onto him for their dear life, praying they get some production for where they had to draft him.
Andruw Jones – Ah, he’s playing again with a smile. Actually, he always played with a smile, which I think was part of the problem. Too much, too soon and all of that. He was kinda like a child actor for baseball players. Hopefully he avoids the methadone clinic. Then again, Hamilton’s done okay for himself. Jones is worth a pickup in all leagues while he’s hitting to see how long it lasts.
Homer Bailey – Maybe, possibly, perhapsly Bailey’s finally, ultimately, in the endly showing the signs of his promising promise. (The preceding was written by a high school student who just discovered a thesaurus.)
Marc Rzepczynski – The consonant monger had a great K-rate in the minors and is worth a flier in AL-Only leagues.
Garrett Jones – I went over him in last week’s Buy/Sell. I refuse to go over a Pirates prospect again. I have me morals, argh!
David Price - You held him for so long and now you’re going to give up on him? Do you remember why you were holding him? Patience, grasshopper.
Ricky Romero – Why isn’t he owned in every league? Just give me your password and I’ll pick him up for you.
Paul Maholm – Keeping with the theme of pitchers you never thought you’d want to own, Maholm’s ERA is 4.60 and his FIP is 3.52. His career 2nd half ERA is 3.95. He’s allergic to strikeouts and as exciting as corduroy pants, but he’s worth a flier if available.
Joel Pineiro – What would a post about pitchers who are valuable that you don’t want to own be without Pineiro?
Brandon Morrow – Don’t forget about domani! He’s worth owning in every league, but I’d still play matchups for now.
SELL
Mark Buehrle – Objects on your fantasy baseball team are better than they appear.
Derrek Lee – Now it’s time for everyone’s favorite game, Fantasy Baseball, Fun With Numbers. Ding, ding, ding… Bassoon… Triangle! Triangle! Triangle! Cow bell! More cow bell! One last ding. Player A) 38/16/58/.304, Player B) 38/16/53/.279 Player C) 37/14/45/.283/1 Player A is Paul Konerko, B is Lee and C is Kendry Morales. I’m not saying trade Derrek Lee for a cup of Beef Vegetable soup, but if you can get a worthwhile piece and can grab a Konerko or Morales-type off waivers, it’s worth exploring. Remember, he’s Derrek Overbay to those in the know.
Russell Branyan – Wasn’t that long ago that I had him as a Buy. Well, times change. People, besides Joan Rivers, get older. And Branyan’s hitting .161 in July. Not saying to drop him, but you’re holding a 33-year-old who has a career .237 average in almost 2300 ABs. His average will continue to slide.
Colby Rasmus – I’m a big fan. He’ll probably be the Rookie of the Year. But right now he’s on a week or two binge where everyone’s telling you to Buy him. Let’s not lose sight of the big picture here. He’s a 20 homer rookie who gets benched against lefties. I told you to buy him in May because I knew he could do what he’s doing, but you don’t buy him now. You sell him now. As in trade him, don’t drop him. You need alligator blood when the bettor check raises to you.
Jose Contreras – In May of last year, Contreras had a 2.09 ERA in over 43 innings. In June, he had a 6.83 ERA. In his last 43 and 2/3 innings, he has a 2.06 ERA. Beware of a correction in the road.
Jair Jurrjens – On May 22nd, I said, “Jar-Jar’s a lot closer to a 3.75 ERA pitcher, instead of a 1.96 ERA. His Ks are low and his luck is high.” And that’s me quoting me! Since that faithful day when my Sell post intersected with Jurrjens, he’s gone 2-5/3.86/1.42/43 in just over 53 innings. That’s much closer to the pitcher he is. Sorry, but at least I didn’t title this post, “Jar-Jar Sinks.”

******First! I have some bad news. Well, bad for you. I’m going out for the day. It’s County Fair time! Please help each other. I’ll be back later today. Thanks!******
Rollins, Broxton, Heath Bell, for Hanley and Sherrill. Which side ya got?
So whose starting Morrow against texas tonight?
give up Kershaw for Millwood?
@all: Should I drop Magglio for Andruw Jones or any of the pitchers named?
@G: No, can you drop someone else?
@agarthered:
not me .
he may sneak his fastball past a few of them , but for how long ?
hamilton’s hitting fastballs .
hank , too .
but , now that i’ve posted this …..
Wood called up…
@Billy: Wood called back down, HAH j/k
Trade question for a 10-team roto NL only league where I’m leading by about 18-20 points on any given day. I am about 65 innings ahead of schedule on Max IP, but am also leading the league in Ks, ERA, Wins, etc., so I’m looking to deal some SPs. Lately I’ve only been pitching my studs and those with great matchups.
Cain/Hawpe/Jobacum or Werth/Bourn/Harrang?
I’m giving the Cain side and am looking to secure HRs and SBs. Should I try and grab Wolf or Lannan instead of Harrang?
i thought it would take a plane crash to call up wood….
@ all :
newcomers might like to know that “county fair time” is when the mustachioed guy sidelines as the bearded lady .
maybe i should send him some drinks .
i mean , come on , he obviously needs the money .
p.s. anybody gonna watch the cards/cubs game this afternoon , or will i be yapping to myself ?
Buchholz and Bailey for Danks in a keeper league? Bailey’s stats are shiny, but aren’t amounting to many FPTS.
Well, since Grey is at the County Fair, this falls on deaf ears, but very good Buy/Sell today. Since I picked up Colby “Erasmus” Rasmus he’s gone an impressive oh-for-7.
Warning: Do not pick up any hitter I also pick-up, as they immediately get leprosy. I don’t think in four years I’ve picked up a guy on a hot streak and not had the hot streak immediately fizzle.
I’m hoping Andruw Jones has something left in the tank. Yes, it’s come to that.
Sadly, Fowler is dead to me since I picked him up and dropped Justin Upton back in April. Also, I don’t think I can ever forgive De la Rosa for the 3.2IP, 7R cavity-search he laid on me the last time I gave him a whirl, ON THE ROAD, AT ATLANTA. I still can’t sit down from that one.
P.S. I second Grey’s strong urging to SELL, SELL, SELL on Russell Branyan. Stop patting yourself on your smart back and dump him on some guy who needs HRs. I haven’t been this right since I told everyone who’d listen to SELL SELL SELL on Josh Hamilton at the All-Star Break last year. 27 RBIs later, the season ended.
@VanHammersly:
hey van … long time .
imo … werth & bourn
doesn’t matter …. harang or lannan (and wolf sucks)
you’re only gonna spot start , if that .
werth has surprised me , but , he doesn’t appear to be slowing down .
don’t expect bourn to disappoint .
chata
Who else doesn’t agree with Grey about starting Ubaldo today against the Bravos?…
I only disagree because Ubaldo hasn’t given up more than 4ER against anyone not named Dodgers this season and the Bravos aren’t exactly offensive juggernauts (and this is coming from a Braves fan)…
So who’s riding the Ubaldo train with me tonight?
County Fair or Oregon Country Fair… is Grey the moustached man painted tan in this photo?!?
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v327/templedragon/ocf05_15.jpg
Excuse me, that’s not tan, that’s the Cheeto Bandito on closer inspection!
@john: Take your chances, but please re-read my post above about the De La Rosa pasting at the hands of the Bravos… they’ll jump up and bite you every once in awhile.
@Baron Von Vulturewins:
maybe our bad luck will have a reverse “multiplier” effect (think drugs and alcohol) on andruw , and he will hit .400 and 40 dingers for the rest of the season .
he might get lucky tonight , sandwiched between hamilton and blalock , vs morrow ,
but it seems clear he will be given a shot when the team returns to arlington .
davis is just a september call-up …. unless someone gets hurt .
May be a couple months late on this one, but is it wise to drop JJ Hardy for a free bowl of soup (i.e de la Rosa, Rzepwhateverski)?
did that singer just screw up the last word to the star spangled banner ?
Vladdy to the DL. Does this mean Napoli will start to get consistent ABs as the DH now? Here’s hoping.
@Paul Wilson:
funny .
very funny .
Need speed so want to pick up Fowler – just picked up Morgan too. Who should I drop of: Cameron, Bruce, Reimold, Nyjer Morgan, Cuddyer? I’m leaning towards Reimold, but maybe Cameron?
@Baron Von Vulturewins: Yes, every now and then my team decides to actually score runs but Ubaldo hasn’t really hurt me yet this year (I avoided his Dodger starts), I’m desperate for IP since my opponent this week has 4 two-start pitchers, so I will indeed pitch him. Pray for me.
@John: I’m on board with you. I need Ks and am really just hoping for a minimal quality start. 6 IP, 3 ER, 6 K and I’m a happy camper. If I can steal a W out of it too then that’s just a bonus.
See that the man Grey is out for the day. Of those I said above to get Dexter – Cameron, Bruce, Reimold, Nyjer Morgan, Cuddyer – who would you least like to see on the waiver wire? I’ll probably keep Morgan since he is of the same value as Fowler is to me right now: speed and runs.
if he would get some plaing time?id love to add wood to my team,but with napoli getting the bulk of DH duties and mathews jr/wiilits in the outfield and scossia hating him some wood,i doubt he gets more than 2 starts before the break
scutaro & inge for josh johnson?
to much or fair?
@caw caw: I think its fair – depends on needs and your what you have on offense.
@curly Day: well, i have sandoval and Asdrubal Cabrera, so i figured that scutaro and inge were the ones i could spare.
I doubt i could get johan for scutaro & inge
@Caw Caw Eagle Claw:
i doubt you get johnson for scutaro and inge .
but , like curly day said , it depends on the other guy’s needs .
@EJ: Yea, that is exactly what I’m looking for as well…just a QS, or something close to one.
@caw caw – if you have Inge and Scutaro on the bench, then definitely get rid of them. Who do you have catching? Maybe not Johan, but a little lower I’d aim for. I think ESPN was saying Haren wasn’t going to keep it up (or Grey) so his owner could be undervaluing him.
Who shall I drop to pick up Fowler: Cameron, Bruce, Reimold, Cuddyer?
@Curly Day: I’m in a 16 team mixed and Reimold has chilled on the wire since I dropped him about a month ago. I’d say lose him.
Who is the best of these three: Cook, Morrow, or Bailey? Anyone?!
Anyone? Rollins, Broxton, Heath Bell, for Hanley and Sherrill. Which side ya go
@I’m Keith Hernandez: I’d take the Hanley side, unless you’re desperate for saves. This is one of those league-specific trades: i.e. if adding two closers will gain you four or five points (and closers are hard to snag) go for it.
But I’d hate to be losing Hanley, personally.
@I’m Keith Hernandez: Hanley
@john: I’m rubbing my rosary beads as we speak.
@big o: Jones is an enigma, wrapped in a riddle, wrapped in prosciutto.
As for Davis, Blalock is about as hardy as Heidi’s cousin Clara. It’s kind of a no-risk proposition for me, and it does give me the greatest gift of all: Hope.
@I’m Keith Hernandez: It’s true that, it’s hard to imagine you sitting back on draft day thinking “Hot damn! First pick overall! I can’t wait to take Hanley, then trade him in July for Jimmy Rollins, Heath Bell and Jonathan Broxton!”
If you have Hanley, you keep Hanley.
i give youkilis and get figgins and lester.
which side is better?
I traded Hanley on draft day. The guy I traded him to later dropped Jayson Werth for Nyjer Morgan, and I had to talk him in to picking Werth back up…
We’re now tied for 3rd.
Nice round-up. The italicized voice gets me every time. Rodney or Soriano, the rest of the way?
@Ant: i would
Travis Ishikawa – is he the future at first base for the jolly green giants or he has a tempory hold on the job
Buchholz and Bailey for Danks in a keeper league? Bailey’s stats are shiny – Bailey is the closer today – three weeks from now might be a long relief dude – I say you know what you got with Danks and you still do not know what you got with buchholz -
Anyone? Rollins, Broxton, Heath Bell, for Hanley and Sherrill. Which side ya go – I like the Sherrill side of things
@Baron Von Vulturewins: Ha! Jones could very well be the best free agent pick up of the year, or an absolute bust. All of us who are taking our chances have little to lose.
@Curly Day:
player #1- 43RS 2HR 28RBI 21SB .277 BA
Player #2 – 44RS 5HR 28RBI 37SB .299 BA
Player +1 is Ellsbury, Player #2 is Nyjer Morgan. Not a tremendous difference, eh? Morgan is having a fine rookie year. Don’t even think about drafting him for Fowler, unless you are in my league and I have a high draft choice.
@GTS: Morrow, Cook, Bailey
@Mr Baseball: Hanley, and it’s not very close.
@Mr Baseball: Presuming Bailey is the closer, I would go with his side.
Drop Kaz Matsui for Maholm?
@Paulie Allnuts: Thanks! I dropped Cook for Morrow and will go from there.
Hanley for sure. Disciples of Grey a proud to rock closers like Qualls, Rodney, McDougall and Meyer. There’s always another closer available on waivers. I haven’t seen Hanley there in some time.
@Paulie Allnuts: Mr. Wizard, think you got those two backwards. Isn’t Morgan @1?
@G: Kaz would hate to be dropped into the midst of an Anal Fissure, but I would make the move.
@Simply Fred: You are exactly correct! That is why you are the stat man!
This is the best – THIS IS THE BEST – for the hard of hearing
Texas Rangers outfielder Nelson Cruz – has been picked for the American League All-Star roster, replacing injured Los Angeles Angels center fielder Torii Hunter(notes).
good thing Ron Washington is not managing the American League Club or he would have started M. Byrd of D. Murphy instead !
@GTS: Actually, I did the same thing in one of my leagues about a week ago!
@I’m Keith Hernandez: Hanley is all mine! Sorry I get freaked out when something appears to be good to be true.
On a Side note I trade Beltran, Quentin, Juan Rivera, J. Johnson for Berkman, Kemp and McLouth today in my money league. Good day for Keith.
@Mr Baseball: Torre can replace Manuel as managing, and bat Cruz 8th.
@I’m Keith Hernandez: On a funny side note. The guy who traded me Hanley keeps asking if I have Gray’s Sports Almanac since I always win this league. I laughed to myself, but keep Razzball a secret in my league
just like Cards trade Keith Hernandez to Mets for Neil Allen and Rick Ownbey
Mets acquire Francouer for Church.
Any word if Cruz will be in the line up tonight?
The only issue I see with your comparison of Lee to Konerko and Morales is that Lee has put up all those numbers since May 1 (hitting .189-1-10 thru April) and he has Aramis Ramirez back as protection. I don’t think you will get the same production from the other two down the stretch.
when will garret jones get OF eligibility on espn
I picked up Garrett Jones and dropped Poddy… he looks promising.
I like picking up guys that are only owned in 4% of CBS leagues.
@GTS: Actually, I dropped McGehee since Poddy has been doing well lately.
I have 2 questions for you guys :
1. What do you think of this offer : I give Ubaldo and Hanson and I get Cruz and Nolasco?
2. Would you drop Volquez to pick up Meche or Parra?
Mr. Danks Buds can’t find the plate tonite… BOOM! goes my WHIP and K/BB… SUPER BELCH!!!
@Joe B: yeah,and i had hanson and greetle and cook my goose last night,,eas in 3rd ,now 6th
@AL KOHOLIC: Sorry AL, you are now down to 7th. Joltin Joe Blanton comes through with another win. (Thank you, Grey!) Lidge managed to scare me and Philly fans, but did wind up coming through. . Lud is back: 3-3 with a dinger and 4 ribbies. And the Bourn Identity is 2-3 with a dinger, three ribbies, and a SB. A +4 total so far in my RCL league tonight. The only dark cloud on the horizon is Johnny Danks, whose ERA is now a manageable 12.00, buts thats in another league, not Razz. Not a bad night in fantasy town; no siree! Life is wonderful, for today. I almost feel like doing a Gene Kelly impression with the umbrella, but my wife would have me committed.
@Paulie Allnuts: And we would deem you really old.
Who’s Gene Kelly? I know Gene Tenace but he didn’t play with an umbrella…………….
@Vince: I like cruz and nolasco. i’d wait to see what grey posts about parra im sure he’ll talk about him.
Charles Bronson Arroyo in Death Wish 1V – the vigilante killings of the New York Mets with his 92 caliber fastball
Braves optioned RHP Tommy Hanson to Triple-A Gwinnett Friday.
@Mr Baseball: He should be recalled for his next start.
Nolasco making me a sad panda tonight
@BigFatHippo: I am really old, compared with most razz commenters. As a teenager, I was first taught the curveball by Candy Cummings himself, hit batting practice off of Three-Fingered Mordecai Brown, as well as going on weekend sprees and chase down firetrucks with Rube Waddell. As for Gene Kelly, all you have to do is put on AMC to find him. And of course I remember Gene Tenace, backup to Dave Duncan; he had some pop in his bat, but not great for AVG. His philosophy as a hitting coach is “Grip It And Rip It”, which seems to have worked well with Adam Lind.
@Mr Baseball: You could stream Wang against the Mets, and he would give up one run on three hits. Speaking of which; what is the thinking of trading Ryan Church for Frenchy? Both are waiver wire mediocre rightfielders. Do either the Braves or Mets seriously believe that they have strenghtened their squad?
pull him now,jaba 1 inning no walks,pull him
@AL KOHOLIC: I think that we need to pull the Joba of Jobacum out of the Glossary. I don’t think that Joba belongs in the same word combo as the Freik.
@Chase: He talked about Parra today. Read his initial post. Briefly – don’t get fooled again”.
@Adam: Just saw what happened to Villanueva in Milwaukee and cheered myself up
do I have to pick up sanchez now?
kemp is no shemp .
and still batting 8th .
@Doc: Hey, Doc, Downs got me a save this week after all! Cool….
@Doc: He looks nasty tonight, but he’s still been pretty awful overall this year and his upcoming schedule doesn’t look too promising. Unless they shake up their rotation after the break, by my count he’ll have COL, @PHI, @CIN and MIL through the end of July; I’ll let somebody else take the chance on him
PLEASE, somebody give me some advice, PLEASE. I am in last place in a 10 team H2D. I know there are some holes on my team, but I should not be in last. I will take any helpful suggestions.
Wieters
Morneau
J. Lopez
Wright
Hardy
Votto= IF
Rios
Choo
Rasmus
Cruz
Aramis Ramirez
M. Bourn
I. Stewart=Bench
Adam LaRoche=Bench
Beltran=DL
Nolasco
Wainwright
Vazquez
Lackey
Hanson
Price
Kazmir
Liriano
Hoffman
Downs
Hughes=Holds
Bad luck, 2nd half players, bad drafting on my part?
Another guy is more than willing to trade me Bruce for Wainwright. I have rejected his offer twice.
That was the first time the Padres have been no-hit since 2001? I could’ve sworn there were two or three this year…
CSI: San Fran shouldn’t have a tough time cracking the case when they pull out Juan Uribe’s body from McCovey Cove tonight.
yeah , you really should be in last place .
from the looks of it , you’re probably losing every pitching category , every week .
definately do not trade wainwright .
trade lackey for a closer , before everyone realizes that this just isn’t his year .
find some other sucker to take liriano …. maybe for another closer … throw in a hitter , if necessary .
choose your match-ups carefully . with this staff , you can’t start every pitcher every time out .
scour the FA for better pitchers .
price ?? there’s gotta be better guys out there ….. stream .
of course , there’s smarter guys with better opinions .
but , at least i tried .
good luck .
plenty of time left .
@Robert:
i’m just a shit-head , but i wanted to add :
wieters can’t be helping your team …. drop him and pick-up another pitcher …. you have the potential to stream 2 or 3 SP’s … and in a h2h league , you’re certainly not going to miss his stats .
hardy ?? is he the 10th best ss out there ?
same comment for lopez .
focus on getting a bit more speed and winning the SB category every week .
i hope some of this helps .
not to take anything away from jonathan sanchez, but i’m pretty sure i could no hit the padres.
@Robert: what category are you counting?
floyd @ Minn tomorrow? anyone?
@Robert: based on quick glance, you certainly have a team filled with inconsistent batter, like Rios, Hardy, Cruz, J. Lopez, Larouche & Stewart; these guys certainly have robbed Choo & Morneau’s consistent production, and Votto & Aramis has been hurt, while Rasmus hasn’t been hitting hot until late; David Wright’s lack of power is also zapping you in HR department.
your pitching, though featuring some late-booming pitcher, should prove to be much more steady as season goes on; i personally don’t foresee much change in SP, though i would look to trade Kazmir & Rios off for another steady arm + steady bat.
3 add on allowed per week, 50 total for the season.
Categories: hits, walks, HR, runs, doubles, rbi, SBs, Ks, AVG/ innings, wins, losses, saves, runs allowed, Ks, holds, era, whip
As far as Hardy, some teams have 2 SS and nobody will trade. Aybar, Peralta, and Guzman are about the best options available to pick up.
Lopez=I had Iwumara. Left overs include Polanco, Kendrick, Prado, Bonifacio
Wieters isn’t supposed to come around in the 2nd half? Napoli and R. Hernandez are available.
Thanks to all for the help.
Would it be wise to try to deal Wright and what should I ask for?
@Robert: wow, some interesting category selection, don’t know why some of categories were chosen for participation though; if i were you i would definitely look to suggest for category changes.
I would stay put w/ Wieters if i were you, but if you need HR pick up Napoli; J. Lopez should be better as later part of season progresses; as for pitchers, while i do not comprehend why the heck stats like losses runs allowed are in, it certainly would hurt you to have more relieve pitching options available, as they would help you more in “runs allowed”.
you know what though, the pitching stats your league are counting is better off with 60% SP, 40% RP, +-5% deviation range; so if you have 10 pitchers on your team, you might be better off with no more than 7 SP pitchers.
@Robert: wow, some interesting category selection, don’t know why some of categories were chosen for participation though; if i were you i would definitely look to suggest for category changes NEXT SEASON.
I would stay put w/ Wieters if i were you, but if you need HR pick up Napoli; J. Lopez should be better as later part of season progresses; as for pitchers, while i do not comprehend why the heck stats like losses runs allowed are in, it certainly WOULDN’T hurt you to have more relieve pitching options available, as they would help you more in “runs allowed”.

@Paul Wilson: Ha!
@Mr Baseball: Ha!
@RIP Harry: I wouldn’t.
@royce!: Ha!
@Robert: In a H2H, these guys Price, Kazmir and Liriano have probably killed you. Two should get better, but other than Price, I’m not sure I’d wait around for Kaz or Liriano in a 10 team H2H league. H2H leagues are really won on making moves, but 50 total adds hurts. Hardy’s been pretty bad, but SS is everyone’s weakest position unless they have Tulo, Zo or Hanley. No sense in upgrading there. I wouldn’t even waste an add on it. Wieters doesn’t really matter either. He’s just a catcher. I’d hold hope that your pitching gets better and I’d upgrade your OF/SP with Wright and Rasmus. I’d trade for Holliday and someone like F-Her. I’m not a huge fan of Holliday, but you need to take some risks if you’re going to get better. You’re not going to get say Braun and a top starter. Though if you wanna play it risky, you grab Braun for Wright and hope your pitching gets better on its own. The good thing is it should.
*****Sorry, if I missed anyone’s question, I only went about 15 comments back. If you want my opinion, just repost. Thanks!*****
@Grey: This is what it’s come to –
Zito v Padres or Moehler v Nats on (your) Sunday? It’s my H2H, in case you hadn’t figured it out…
Can you rank the following schmohawks please?
Fowler, Garko, Taveras, Pierre, Sheffield
Also: Rzep or Cahill?
Oh and please add Garrett Jones to the list of schmohawks above.
Thoughts on the Sanchez no – no Grey. Any future for this kid if he gets his walk rate down?
if Dirty Sanchez is going for the 18th perfect game in Major League History – maybe when the 8th inning comes along you should put in a defensive player at third when you are up by 7 runs -
Where Have You Gone John Montefusco? he was the last pitcher to pitch a no hitter for the Giants
Hey Grey hope you had a good time at the County Fair
No-No Unknowns: Most Unlikely Pitchers to Throw a No-Hitter – by Dave Walker (Contributor)
5. Bud Smith – St. Louis Cardinals – Sept. 3, 2001
Bud had a very short major league career. His totals consisted of a 7-8 record across a staggering two seasons.
What he most famously forgotten for is a no-hitter he threw against the San Diego Padres.
Cardinals pitching coach Dave Duncan would be quoted as saying that he hoped someone would have broken up the no hit bid so he could take Smith out due to his high pitch count. Smith is now retired from baseball and possibly working at a BuyMore.
4. Kevin Gross – Los Angeles Dodgers – Aug. 17, 1992
Gross had a little bit better luck in the majors, compiling over 100 wins over a career that stretched more than 14 seasons. When I talk about those baseball cards, his was one that I found and said no way.
I don’t remember much about this no-no. All I know is that I would have never thought Kevin Gross, who I remember as a Phillie, would ever throw a no-hitter.
3. Tommy Greene – Philadelphia Phillies – May 23, 1991
Greene had his best season on the overachieving version of the 1993 Phillies going 16-4. On his infamous day in May, he had pinpoint control…striking out 10 and only walking seven!
Seven walks. Come on. I could throw a no-hitter if I walked that many people. Wow! Thus another member of my “who the hell is this guy” club.
2. Kent Mercker – Atlanta Braves – Threw two no-nos
Mercker was the ultimate one-game wonder, not once, but twice. His first was on Sept. 11, 1991 when he went 6 innings then handed the ball over to the bullpen to finish it.
The second occurred on April 8, 1994. Mercker is still around somewhere. He bounces around the spring training circuit every year, until someone eventually signs him.
1. Juan Nieves – Milwaukee Brewers – April 15, 1987
Who the hell is this guy? The only reason I even know of this is that I lives in Wisconsin for three years and saw a replay of it on Brewers classic.
Juan Nieves? Really? This guy pitched a no no. Now, I know what you are asking, where is he now and how did his career end?
Well, he threw out his arm, like all Brewers pitchers do, and is now the bullpen coach for the Chicago White Sox.
I am sure that there are many other “Did You Know” no hitter guys out there, but these are the one hit no hit wonders of my time.
Feel free to comment on any of the good times you had watching these guys pitch, or if you have any other gems that need to be mentioned in this category of no hit no names.
And, to think I didn’t even mention Jose Jimenez, who would have been sixth….
i need to activate ibanez from the dl. who would you drop out of:
chipper, smoltz, lowe, cook

Evan Longoria is getting ready for Home Run Derby
Evan Longoria homered – The home run was his first since June 17.
for holds:
o’day, jim johnson, rhodes, green
Blalock or Branyan?
I know Iannetta is a scab and I shouldn’t pick at him, but the urge is irresistible. Do you think he has that much more upside that it’s worth holding him over any of the high-performing catchers on waivers right now?
Also — Hart, S. Hairston, DeJesus, or Reimold?
Thanks!
thoughts on Brandon Wood? worth dropping McCutchen from my bench to take a chance on him?
@Steve: I’d go Zito.
@DrEasy: Fowler, Taveras, Pierre… Unless you don’t need speed, then Sheff.
@Pops: Anibal Sanchez threw another no-hitter? (I know he didn’t, but that’s my point.) Weird things happen, I wouldn’t bother with him.
@Mr Baseball: Thanks, Mr. Baseball. It was fun. Great point on the defensive 3rd baseman.
@paulzone: Drop Cook.
@paulzone: Johnson, if saves are all needed possibly down the road. If not, then Rhodes.
@Scott: Branyan
@Prince: No idea who’s on waivers for you. Hart, Hairston, Reimold…
@Corey: I wouldn’t have dropped him, but I guess if he was on your bench, there’s no harm in it. Not sure why anyone thinks he’s going to suddenly get playing time. Guess grab him if you need help at CI, but I wouldn’t drop anyone worthwhile for him.
@Grey: i was leaning towards smoltz…losing patience with him. cook is boring but he gets gidp, which is a category in our league that i need to make up ground in if i want to move up…smoltz gets some gidps too though…we count losses as a category too…sorry thinking out loud…still cook huh?
@paulzone: Ah… No, I’d drop Smoltz there.
@Grey: okay thanks. i’d like to move chipper too. i have berkman/cabrera so cant use him. he’s hard to trade though. maybe i’ll offer chipper and smoltz for beurhle. the guy put buerhle on the trade block and has blake as his 3b. doubt he’ll go for it…cant hurt to try
Rzep or Cahill?
@paulzone: You should be able to get more for Chipper.
@DrEasy: Sorry — Cahill.
Hey Grey and everyone else, Thanks for the advice and suggestions. I have made some of my players available for trade. I will definitely come back to get opinions on any trade offers. But again, nobody seems willing to trade except the guy trying to get Wainwright from me for Bruce, and I have turned that down twice. Thanks again!
@Robert: Hey Robert, I’d also check out baseballmonster.com so you can check the rankings for players based on your eccentric scoring system. It seems to help in my 20 team h2h that counts weird things like QS.
So I get 4 keepers in my 5×5 full MLB league… who should I keep?
Evan Longoria
Jose Reyes
Prince Fielder
Matt Kemp
Pablo Sandoval
I’d hate to let go of Pablo… but I hate keeping him and Fielder/Longoria and locking up my Utl b4 the draft has even started. Do you think Pablo is going to get 5 starts at Catcher? That is all i need.
@jamesllegade: i wouldnt worry yet,besides id see if reyes is going to get healed
thoughts on a. soriano turning it on in the second half? i’m looking for a power bat in my outfield (have holliday, markakis, and granderson) and someone has offered him for my wainwright (i have carp, beckett, scherzer, nolasco, bedard, kuroda, and liriano in my staff behind wainwright).
Jonathan Sánchez its the control that is keeping him down – he usually walks 3 men a game but how many favorable hitting counts does he put himself into in a game because of the contral – major league hitters will hit you if you put yourself behind in the count all night long – they feast on 2 -1 or 3 – 1 counts
I think if you have another crappy pitcher on your team – we all do except Grey – i would sign him for a 2 game contract on your fantasy baseball team – hey he will give you 6 strikes out for your effort for signing him per game
who knows maybe he will be traded to the New York Yankees where he can afford to give up 5 runs a game – it makes scents for the yankees to pick he up since they also pick up the last Giant that threw a no hitter – John The Count Montefusco
@nick m.: I’d try and trade Scherzer for him or Bedard, but I wouldn’t trade Wainwright for him. I don’t have much faith in a 2nd half surge, but for one of the two I mention, it’s worth a chance.
What a week ago was a no-brainer, but now… start Cueto @ Metco today?
if you already started Cueto this week you proberly already lost the era and whip in your league so I would start him – you are playing with house money
@peter: I agree with Mr Baseball, but I’d start him even in roto leagues.
@Prince: @Grey: Yeah, sorry, didn’t provide you with enough info. I have Iannetta. I’m thinking of Pierzynski. Also out there are Suzuki, Y. Molina, Shoppach, and Pudge, but not so appealing. Soto is available but won’t be playing for a while obviously.
@Prince: I’d hold tight.
lester and figgins for youkilis
whos side do you like?
@black love: Youk, unless you need steals. It’s fair either way.
thanks!
zambrono for inge?
@black love: I’d take Z.
Start Jordan Zimmerman at Houston tomorrow ?
Grey, would you do A. Gonzalez, G. Sizemore for Hawpe, Pena, and C. Jones? Current 3b is G. Beckham, I was a victim of Bill James.
Just traded Haren and S. Drew away for Soriano and Edwin Jackson, did I make a big mistake?
I like to go to the (fantasy) doctors at Razzball every month just to see what the thoughts are on my overall health. I’m in first in an 11 team daily league but only by half point. Typical HR/RBI/R/SB/BA and W/S/ERA/WHIP/K’s. Any recommended changes/issues or upgrades?
SP-Vazquez, Oswalt, Weaver, Jackson, Hanson, Kuroda, Harden

Thanks!
Drop Frasor for Meyer?

@SamYo: I would.
@Den: I wouldn’t do that trade. You can do better.
@Rnunnerley: I think you could’ve gotten more.
@knighttown: Solid team still. Not crazy about Harden, but you should have enough starting pitching in front of him to be okay. I’d be a bit worried about Justin Upton and Choo. Not that I think they’ll get worse in the 2nd half, but they could. Minimizing risk there, maybe trade Bruce and one of Upton and Choo for a solid OF. Say Berkman. Not sure if you could pull it off even, just thinking aloud.
@RIP Harry: Sure

I AM 12 GAMES OUT OF FIRST
now it all shows up sorry – I am loaded with the same posts
@Mr Baseball: Sorry, spam filter grabbed it for some reason.
After we see what Smoltz does tonight, I might suggest you trade him out for Blanton. Lose Beckham for rasmus or The Dread Pirate, dealer’s choice. They’ll help you with Runs more than Beckham. As great as Kemp is, he’s not going to help you with HRs or Runs, where you need the most. Maybe trade him and one of your lesser starters (Danks?) for Braun? Not sure if you can pull it off but it’s worth a shot. Maybe Berkman and a secondary closer for Kemp?
I will start to work on it grey – thanks
I shaking a bit – Ryan Braun has not gone deep in 15 games and at the moment is not knocking in runs = while Kemp is hot at the moment – yes it is the best time to trade Kemp
@Mr Baseball: I don’t think Kemp’s bad at all. I like him a lot, but I’m thinking of power and Runs. Braun will surpass Kemp in both.
@Grey: I was wondering about your comments on buying de la Rosa……. Don’t you think that if you were just looking for the “away” performance of a Rockies pitcher that Jason Hammel would be a better pickup?
And Wood goes deep!
unless Ken Macha decides to bat Braun 8th
Yeah Wood!!!
which Player would you lose off your bench Beckham or Asd Cabrera? I have Zobrist and Kinsler in those positions. its probably over kill to have both sitting on the bench.
I love how 6,200+ idiots on Yahoo! have overreacted and dropped Tommy Hanson because there’s an “NA” next to his name… He’ll be back after the break, but I guess no one cares enough to read the yellow note next to his name..
im giving scutaro and inge for bedard.
too much?
@VanHammersly: that’s what she said
OK, I need to call on the experts again. Another guys wants Wright but does not make an offer. I am thinking that I should be trying to get a top starter for Wright, correct me if I am wrong. Here is what the other guy has:
McCann
C. Pena
Utley
Teahen=3B
M. Young
Fielder
Wells
Sizemore
Abreu
Kubel
Helton
Damon
A. Cabrera
Podsednik
Doumit=DL
Burnett
Danks
Haren=usually bad 2nd half?
Sherzer
Romero
De La Rosa
Wakefield
Dempster=DL
Papelbon
Fuentes
Rivera
Bailey
Does he have what I need for Wright? I am hoping to get more interest by Monday.
Thanks for your time.
Why would MR Baseball need advice?
@Doc: Alley-oop!
@Rick Dempsey: Hammel was a buy last week I believe.
@Billy: Asrubal
@black love: I’d prefer a starter that is a better bet to stay healthy. But that’s not too much.
@Robert: He has no starters you want.
@Grey: How was the county fair?
Just curious, are all the carny’s in Orange County “actresses”? Or is that profession reserved for waitresses and hookers?
@BigFatHippo: Ha! Don’t know, but did hear a tale about one guy’s friend who had 8 fingers. Odd scene, for sure.
Cueto is exploding
@Grey: Hehe, when he flips someone off in traffic, which one does he use?
Thank you.
@Billy: Yep, he’s killing me! Why did I start him?
And of course Sheffield, the one guy I wouldn’t mind hitting Cueto, is ticker-teasing me.
At least Bruce can’t Sonavabench now
Hey, Grey-
I was offered C. Pena for my D. Wright. I immediately thought rejection. This is not enough for Wright, right?
@Grey: Which pitcher do you prefer for the rest of the year… John Lackey or David Price???
And that’s not a Cain regression but I’ll take it today
@DrEasy: Getting shelled by the Mets is a really bad sign for Cueto owners. The way the Mets are hitting, Wang would probably pitch a 3 hit shut out.
@Grey: Perhaps he can learn to throw a curve like Three-Fingered Mordecai Brown.
@Robert: Quite a bit short, in my estimation.
@Grey: Or any astute Razzballer – what side do you prefer in a vacuum:
HanRam + Adam La Roche for Ibanez, Derrick Lee, and Drew (This is a keeper league, BTW)
@BigFatHippo: Ha!
@Robert: No, not enough.
@Joe B: Lackey
@Paulie Allnuts: Hanley’s side.
dear prince fielder
please leave the SBs up to J-Roll in my lineup. you’re supposed to hit home runs.
who’s the journeyman reliever , that must have retired a year or 2 ago ? … had 6 fingers …. they called him the octopus , or something .
i picked him up once or twice , just to roster him .
Francoeur, Teahen, Willingham, Fowler, Church. Would you pick up any of these guys for Ordonez, C.Young, Garret Jones?
I also have Beltre burning a spot, think he’ll be useful when he comes back from having those bone spurs removed? DL spots already occupied, and now have Soto.
Would you pick up Bonifacio and drop McGeeHee?
Thanks <3
Replacement for Bruce…
FraGu, Morales, Ross, Cuddyer, Drew?
%@#*(&@#*(@# Bruce…
FraGu, Morales, Ross, Cuddyer, or Drew?
[oops]
dear Jay Bruce,
i’ll be seeing your name on list of “top 2010 MLB sleeper/comeback candidate”
looks like he’s out at least 6 weeks, drop him pronto?
i have my “drop” button ready any moments now….
@Grey: Thanks, that’s what I thought. I will put up the offer, and see if he bites…
Glad I just traded away Bruce Almighty last week.
Bourn Identity – 1 hit, 2RS, 3SB – SAGNOF!
it just came to me .
alfonseca
Who are you?
Who, who, who, who?
Who are you?
Who, who, who, who?
Who are you?
Who, who, who, who?
Who are you?
Who, who, who, who?
Reds GM Walt Jocketty said Drew Stubbs would be the first guy the Reds would look at to replace Jay Bruce.
Mariners optioned RHP Brandon Cousin Brucie Morrow – Eeeeee, my cousins! I am going to Triple-A Tacoma.
somehow i always thought that extra finger would give him an advantage .
betcha he coulda knocked over those milk bottles at the carny .
take him home some kewpie dolls .
jay bruce been sitting on my bench for weeks now in my keeper league – now he can sit in my DL spot – now thats a good break for me
Mike Hampton
looks like the board of health will be closing down The Hampton Inn because they found the Laroche family there enjoying some Captain Crunch cereal at breakfast
I’m looking at a utility type player to replace Bruce. Someone with a ton of eligibility as Bruce just sat on the bench. SOme options:
Emilio, Wigginton, Rayburn, Uribe, Kennedy
Ug. Or should I just pickup another Mr. B?
@Mr Baseball: It’s kinda sad that all of us Bruce owners are almost relieved by his injury.
@Grey: Handcuff Broxton with Troncoso, with his toe issues?
yeah i’ll be drafting bruce next year… not too high now.
dropped him in my 12 team league. cuddyer is a good replacement. so is the BIG FRAGU!
Jay Allen Bruce – three first names – I knew he had two so I was wondering maybe his middle name is a first name too and yes it was
but them again – aren’t all middle names first names
here’s a question. what’s the most home runs someone hit in one season without having a multi-homer game? cuz i think branyan is going to shatter that “record”
@denys: that’s a good question, but if he hits 30+ HR without having multiple HR game, i’ll still take that over some schmohawk who hits 3+ multi-HR game all year, yet only managing 15+ HRs yearly.
@Mr Baseball: Jay Bruce’s middle name is Allen? wow…
put all three names together i would think we’re talking about 3 different suspects.
or , we could give you 2 quarters , 4 dimes , & , 2 nickles .
‘cuz that’s what we do .
we’re the change bank .
(we could even give you 20 nickles)
edit : nickels *
apparently , we don’t do spelling .
@big o: or 100 pennies.
@big o: Alfonseca
@Schatzi: Fowler over Mags if you need speed. Teahen if you need a corner guy.
@Dim: FraGu while hot.
@Elbert: Sure, you can lose him.
@Mr Baseball: Ha!
@knighttown: Mr. B
@Paulie Allnuts: re: Broxton — Yeah, back him up if you have room.
@Elbert: Ha!
@Grey: which would be recommended pick-up? i still have some handcuffs and could wait for prospect promotion or go for immediate pick-ups.
Milledge-Dukes-Thames-Maybin-Parra-Church-Gardner-Francisco-S. Smith-Diaz-Laporta-Dobbs (who is he anyway?)-Gomes-Remold (waiver).
i’m actually quite relieved that Bruce’s hurt, to be honest…
Brett Anderson has seemed to turn a bit of a corner. Pick up him or Jorge de la Rosa? Thanks
@Elbert: so true
@Dexter: mr. anderson was considered a top prospect at one point in time. number 3 hitter quality. wonder what the hell happened to him!?
it’s only brett anderson’s rookie year, he’s bound for some bumps on the road.
having said that, all A’s starters are bound to hit road bumps anyway…
@denys: so i was thinking of BRIAN anderson. brett is a pitcher. go figure.
@Elbert: Reimold
@Dexter: Anderson’s worth a pickup, but I wouldn’t start him tomorrow. I wouldn’t start Rosa either.
@denys: hahaha, i read it wrong! such big family of Anderson(s)!!
This may be too late to make tonight’s round of comments, but I’ll give it a shot. Who would you take for a MI? Furcal, J. Lopez, Barmes. Thanks
@Grey: After my original offer, my potential partner came back with this:
I trade: Zimmerman+Ibanez+Lee+Drew and I get HanRam+Huff+Andy Laroche
I still think that the Hanley Ramirez side is good for me, but just wanted to check with you.
Perhaps if I should ask him to include the 8-fingered man.
Thanks
I should mention that this is a keeper league.
@Paulie:
Is that Ryan or Jordan Zimmerman?
If the other guy would go for it, my Wright for his Braun is a deal I should make, considering the lack of power on my team? The other guy is above me in 9th place and lacks speed. Thanks in advance.
@knighttown: Sorry – That is Ryan Zimmerman.
Or Wright for Howard? Avg and steals for HRs and RBIs.
@Prince: In that order.
@Paulie Allnuts: Still the Hanley side.
@Robert: I’d take Braun there.
@Robert: I’d take Howard if that’s what you need.
@Grey: Thanks. A bit more tentative with this offer, but will press the accept button.
@Grey: How do you feel about this trade?
I get M Cabrera and J Kubel
He gets M Teixeira and J Hamilton
@Joe B: I’d take the Tex side.
so lose bruce? he was riding my bench anyways pretty much…. broken wrists dont heal too quick? haha…
@Tony Y: Yeah, lose him.
my of/util (3 of 1 util) situation looks like this: bj upton, Justin upton, bourn, krispie young, Quentin, Bruce. losing Bruce doesn’t seem huge if Quentin comes back quickly, hell, it’s an upgrade. but…
I was just offered holliday for either harang or bedard. should I jump on that?
@brad: I’d take Holliday for either. I’d lose Bedard first.
I hope that tommorrow´s tittle of the daily roundup will be somehow connected with Bruce. He helped me finally cut him loose by breaking his wrist. Excellent move Jay, excellent. Big relieve on my part.
What do you think of these four guys in terms of rank for OF/UTIL positions for the rest of the season:
A. Soriano, J. Votto, Mini-Donkey, ManRam, Adam Jones
@anoraxx: Hmm… Maybe. Not sure yet.
@Influawesome: Reynolds, Manny, Votto, Soriano…
Anyone watching the Rays game know why Anderson only made it four innings?
@BSA: Just looked like he was getting hit. Not sure, was switching between Dodgers and them.
@Grey: Eh, He had three hits and three Ks after 4.0 with 1 BB. Oh well! I picked him up to help my ERA and WHIP with JZimm and Beckett today before the break.
Ah well – you lose some you lose some!
@Grey: do you have any thoughts on trades that you think are really likely?
@Rick Dempsey: Not really, when they happen, we’ll react then.
I wish I would have sold Cueto earlier, because nobody wants that toolbag. Should I try trading him for Burrell?
In my 12 team 5 x 5, here are my SP’s:
E. Jackson, D. Lowe, Scherzer, Liriano, Verlander and Gaudin,
some notablea on waivers are:
Happ, Wells, Piniero, Parra, Smoltz, Maholm, Washburn, Romero, De La Rosa, Blanton and J Zimmerman,
Should I drop any of my starters for any of these waiver guys?
making some moves for the second half – jose lopez or jorge cantu in the util spot? dan meyer or tronosco to vulture saves?
@Grey: What’s with the Cardinals and the moustaches?
@PWNightmare: Ha, all the pitchers decided to sport rally staches. Well, all of them but Brad Thompson, he still looks like a 14 year old kid, pitches like one too.
Here’s a great YAHOO feature…. I’m in a daily transactions league, 12 teams, H2H and it benefits me to throw wainwright now after seeing what my early pitchers and my opp’s early pitchers did today, i can take K’s for sure, MAYBE wins, and could potentially flip whip with a good outing….
BUT…. since i didn’t enter him when the first game was happening (i didn’t want him in then, i didnt know if i needed him or not!!!!!) I can’t enter him now…. since its a DH’er….
FUCK YAHOO…
Bowker worth a shot in mixed leagues?
I give-
Francisco Cordero, Dan Haren, Colby Rasmus and Brandon
Phillips
I get-
Ian Kinsler, Carlos Quentin, Papelbon, David Price
Would a trade of Wright for Lind & Beckett be fair or Lind & Cain?
*****update for all you Buchholz watchers*****
He will have a spot start in Toronto the first game back from break.
Sawx say it is to set up their rotation.
Sawx tawk will be calling it showcasing for a trade.
Here’s a statistical anomaly for ya…………..
According to ESPN, Ludwick currently has 3 hits in 2 at bats.
Now I’ve been known to be drunk by this time of the evening, but even I can’t find that possible……….
@BigFatHippo: Did it hit the bat twice as it went by….
No, no, no, I got it he popped it up above home plate and drove it as it came down.
@BigFatHippo: i’m drinking, its sunday, sure….
@BSA: Just like whiffle ball, I’ve done that!
@Tony Y: Party time!
@BigFatHippo: I think the way to interpret this is that Ludwick has three hits today, 2 in the first game of the DH, and one in the second game (a 2 run dinger – Boo Ya!) He has been at bat 2 times in the second game. Actually, on the day so far he is 3-6, with one dinger and 2 ribbies. And now he is up again!
As I blog, the god of Lud strikes again! It’s a happy day, indeed!
@BigFatHippo: Hey Hippo go to the Message Board on the RCL.
@Grey: I have one too many outfielders. I figure I can pickup 1) someone with multi-position eligibility to use as a sub, 2) a MR for ratios, or 3) keep an OF to use as a sub.
Possible players for each option:
1) Prado, Wigginton, J. Hairston
2) Wheeler, Dan Meyer, Frasor, Coffey, Calero, Bard, J. Cruz, Hawkins
3) DeJesus, Span, S. Hairston, Byrd, Reimold, Willingham, Fox, G.Parra
Thanks
@Tom: I’d want more than Burrell.
@Rnunnerley: I’d hold tight.
@nick m.: Cantu, Meyer
@Elbert: God, no.
@Cincinnasty: I’d want more for Haren and Phillips.
@Robert: I’d want Wright.
@BSA: Thanks for the heads up!
@Prince: Meyer, Hawkins, Fox
Let’s hope Buchholz stays up for good, too bad he’s pitching in AL East, or i would be picking him up over Homer Bailey by now…
would anyone pick up Buchholz right away?
In any situation, is there a reason why I should not accept the offered CC for my Aardmsa? In in a 12-team, 6×6, but the 6th pitching stat has nothing to do with becoming before aardvark in the dictionary, it’s QS.
(it would leave me with just Broxton as a legit closer. But, seems like i could move a lesser pitcher for a closer)
@SRM: will this trade go through though? because this could be a bit of lop-sided, given both players perception & performance level.
in any case, it’s worth a try to accept the trade (to see if the trade goes through); if you don’t click “approve” i can click it for you; this is a big plus for you if it goes through.
Scott Baker for Billy Butler, who wins?
2 DL slots – Who would you lose…Volquez, Chris Young (SD), Bruce?
@Corey: I’d quickly take Baker there.
@grey- kuroda or ricky romero?
also should i do furcal and kuroda for romero and weaver?
@Grey: Pls rank garrett jones, rasmus, fragu for 2nd half and which would u start next week
Start Dan Meyer or Bucholz? Alex Gordon worth grabbing for second half?
Thanks…
@struggler: Bruce
@Martin: Kuroda — I’d take Weaver’s side there.
@matthole: Rasmus, Jones, FraGu…. Buchholz, no on Gordon.
Thanks….still hold madson if you own lidge?
@matthole: Sure
@Grey: meant to ask you, despite the fact that i have a good staff of SP, give up Aardsma for CC is easy, no?
@Grey: You feeling a little better about J-Up after the latter half of this last week?
Would putting him with Morneau and asking for Prince be giving up too much?
@SRM: I’d take CC.
@Steve: Yeah, it’s giving up too much.
@Grey: Morneau plus Hart maybe? Hart is just rotting on the bench.
Or should I just stick with Morneau?
@Steve: I’d take Prince there.
@BigFatHippo: Not just the pitchers anymore. The all do. Colby Rasmus has the mustache of a thirteen year old. Pujols still has the well-manicured goatee, though.
have a nice all-star break .
try not to cast your eyes upon bud selig .
it’ll cheapen the moment .
Wright for Longoria. The winner is…?
@Robert: Longoria
Thanks. So far, no takers for Wright. Unbelievable. My last place team is keeping me up at night.
