Everyone is acting like Bay is some slouch crappy OF and that Manny is still hitting bombs like it is 2005…well I hate to break this to you but it is 2008…and Manny has lost interest in putting up the stats he used to…he’ll still be good, but not the Manny of old…and his defense is still horrendous…it was evident tonight when he turned a possible double into an easy triple because he couldn’t cut the ball of before it hit the wall…I think the best part of the whole trade might be when the Dodgers don’t make the playoffs and the Sox will still have Bay next year plus the money from Manny and Schilling’s salary to sign some ballers

Red Sox fans really over-did it tonight. It is as if Jason Bay is their new god and they must worship him. I was hoping they’d boo him his first atbat but they gave him like 10 standing ovations throughout the game.

Makes me think of Jennifer Aniston.. She acted all happy and lovey-dovey to be with Vince Vaughn after she and Brad split. But it was fake, she just wanted to cover up the pain and depression of losing Brad. Just as Red Sox fans are faking their love for Bay to cover up the pain of losing Manny, a World Series MVP and one of the greatest personalities in MLB history.

I don’t know why this guy doesn’t speak to the press more often.

@Grey: Hey Grey, sry I had to make a post here because I couldnt open the link to your latest post for some reason. Anyway, I got offered Pujols and Lidge for Berkman, Morrow and Lilly. I need saves bad and Morrow isnt a definite to close nemore... look like a good move?

I just traded Corey Hart and Matt Garza for Dan Haren and Fernando Rodney.

Any thoughts Grey, my weakest categories are K’s and saves, and i already have Markakis, Quentin, Rios and Matsui if he comes back in the OF, so i felt Hart was expendable. I’m not comfortable with Garza.
