Here’s a sneak preview for all the players that we’ll either be rejoicing or damning slightly more than the average player in the daily posts. We’ve added/dropped some players since draft day (and packaged Berkman in a heavyweight trade for Sabathia) but the vast majority of these guys are at least starting the year on our teams.

grey man,
what player you pick?
marcum or niese?
respeckt.
@#1contenda, Marcum
Only 2 for 8 on Mad-Bum seems light…
@Grey: im sure youve answered this several times already, but who do you like better between lidge and h rod?
@herschel, Rodriguez
Funny with Colby Lewis atop the list even though you weren’t much of a fan in your rankings. Decent Ks, a WHIP that shouldn’t hurt and offense that could help him win 15 though. Did Rudy like him slightly more or was he just consistently slipping in drafts?
He went 240th in my RCL!
@Ian, Yeah, Rudy pushed for him in several leagues. I didn’t hate 200 Ks late in rounds though…
@Grey At this point would you drop Aceves for Rodney or HRod? It’s only a points league so his proclivities were not fatal.
@Howard, Rodney
@Grey – Guy just dropped Andrus for Cozart. Drop Aybar for Elvis? Thanks!
@AnotherFalstaff, of course you do that
Bochy says Belt gets a longer leash this year… right before benching him today against RHP @COL in favor of Gregor Blanco in RF/Huff at 1B. The kid needs out of SF, and how.
@J!m Future, Yeah, I picked him up in a 10 teamer for the Colorado series. *clenches fists*
@J!m Future, Ugh
@J!m Future,
Let me guess: They wanted to give him a day off to keep him fresh? Is Joe Girardi of “I rested” Derek Jeter on GAME 2 OF THE SEASON fame” managing the Giants too?
Just posted this on another post then realized a new post and been posted so I shall post again on this post…….
I, like many others, have had terrible pitching to start the season. No true ace and a bunch of relievers, I have Beckett, Shields, Romero, Minor, Buchholz, Volquez, Kuroda, then Hanrahan, Walden, Aceves, Kenley, Clippard, and Venters. Drop Aceves now or wait? Nova, Lohse, Niese, Leake, and Nolasco available, 10 team keeper league.
Thanks!
@Poo Holes, I’d wait another week.
Is Franklin Morales worth picking up, in light of the Boston Massacre?
@Ralph, I wouldn’t speculate on him yet.
Why does Colby Lewis get so little love in the fantasy community? I picked him up for $6 in an AL only auction. At first I thought I must have missed a late injury. Liriano went for 13 – what gives?
@frank, People think he’s closer to the pitcher he was in 2011 than 2010… He’s probably somewhere between the two…
No one jinx Sanchez!
@Elijah, Why would you say something?
@Grey, He’s going for the shutout!
Ha… I know, shh!
@Elijah, Thanks dude
@ThE sHiT,
Bah! {Steve’s Emoticon}
How many innings will Sale pitch do you think?
PS This post is awesome.
@Chunk, 120-ish
@Grey: Someone dropped Ike. Like Ike over Belt? Also available is Moose, Rios, Boesch, Freeman, Joyce, Gaby, LaRoche, Murphy.
@ThE sHiT, This is for a UTIL spot btw, until BJ returns.
@ThE sHiT, Ike over Belt…
@Grey, Thanks, great round up btw…
@ThE sHiT, Thanks!
@Grey, now I feel dumb, because I dropped Ike for Belt in a 10 team mixed roto league this year. My thinking was that with a shallow format, I should be willing to take more risks like that as long as they have good upside. i.e. even if Belt gets demoted tomorrow, I can just drop him and pick up Chase Headley or similar.
Now of course I’m thinking this may not work out.
Omar Infante goin beast mode on the Phils!
@Grey: Thoughts on David Murphy? Looks like he will get a lot of AB’s.
@ThE sHiT, Solid 15/15 guy…

I was offered Duda and Sale for my Morales and Motte. Should I come back at him with Morales and Santiago (My RPs are Motte, Santiago, J Johnson, Broxton, H-rod, Holland)? I Think He’ll take that. I tried Holland with Kendrys but it was a no go.
16 teams, my current staff is gio, zimm, edinson, jackson, Dirty Sanchez, Lynn. Points league, 1500 innings
@Chunk, Sure, try it…
Good to see Boneface running like a scalded cat.
@Steve, Hehe
@Grey, You hate Nolasco, right? Rudy seems pretty fond of him this year and Point Shares has him at about 120 (positives for Wins and WHIP). Is he viable part of a 12 team h2h rotation or is he just a streamer?
@Steve, Not a fan of Nolasco… Can stream him for the time being there…
Omar Infante is a MONSTER! On pace for like 125 homeruns now. Tied for the lead in the Bigs with Bruce and Cespedes.
@Wilsonian, Ha…
howie kendricks not on any of your teams??
@trick dad, Rudy didn’t want him and I didn’t get him on my RCL team cause Funston drafted him very early.
@Grey, funstons funny looking
He looks like Tim Curry…
@Grey,
If Tim Curry spent every meal at Chipotle….
@Hawk, HAHA!
With an offense like this:
C – Avila
1B – Fielder
2B – Phillips
3B – Longo
SS – Tulo
OF – Kemp
OF – JUpton
OF – Bruce
UTIL – Lind
UTIL – Ichiro
BN – Markakis
BN – Duda
DL – BJUpton
For the last roster spot, which I say is Lind and Duda right now, would you drop either for Boneface based on the balance of my team. Although I have speed guys, no one is stealing. And my team hit 11 homeruns in the 3-4 games last week. Thanks. It’s H2H, by the way.
@Wilsonian, Can lose Duda for him if you need steals…
@Grey, muchos gracias. I like Zippitty, but he seems kind of redundant on my team in a shallow league. Dropped him for a Volquez stream for tomorrow and then will ride the Boneface train. Damn that sounds disgusting…
Please rank: Juan Francisco, Jesus Guzman, Justin Smoak
Thanks
@Ed Nugent, You did…
Phillies are looking like a team to stream pitchers against if no one has noticed. They have nothing other than Victorino and Pence.
@DonSlaughtOnslaught, They look like a bit of a mess offensively, but their ballpark scares me…
@ Grey :
fidel castro or hugo chavez ??
Depends on country size…
re: Anibal Sanchez today; not a shutout but I’ll take it. I just popped my 2912 Quality Start cherry!
@Baron Von Vulturewins, That’s 2012, not 2912. I swear these keys didn’t used to be so close together.
@Baron Von Vulturewins,
That’s 5 in my league that counts em, with CJ Wilson still to go today.
Me too… And if Anibal’s head is frozen after death, you may be right about 2912 too… Too early to tell…
Francoeur, Austin Jackson, or Furcal for a bench hitter to rotate in? I’m very light on steals
Jackson
Man, I hope you’re right on Colby Lewis. I got him at pick 271 this year!
@Big Mike, Hoping he gives a 3.75 ERA with 200 Ks.
Hey Grey,
I’m in an 11 team league with k/bb and I think my pitching is pretty well rounded but I only have one closer. I’m thinking about dropping mike minor for a potential closer that could also help with my k/bb ratio (sergio romo, mike adams). i only have 1 bench player on my offense (jesus montero) so no one is expendable. my staff looks like this now -
Cole Hamels
Mat Latos
Tommy Hanson
Dan Hudson
Brandon Beachy
Shaun Marcum
Mike Minor
Tommy Milone
Sergio Santos
Kenley Jansen
Greg Holland
Joel Peralta
The problem is I have Holland and Jansen, neither of whom are closing but are too valuable to drop. Any advice appreciated – thanks in advance
@ben, Does your league have an innings cap? If so, you may have too many high-quality SPs. Hamels, Latos, Hanson, Hudson, Beachy, and Marcum could all potentially be every-start pitchers, so you could consider trading one of the riskier ones (Hanson or Marcum, maybe) for an ace closer.
@dingbat, that’s what i’ve been thinking. we have a 1300 IP cap so I think I’ll try to do that. thanks
Grey, what do you think of my team? 12 team roto, modified 6×6 (OBP, SLG; QS, HLD). As always, thank you!
c- Iannetta
1- Pujols
2- Uggla
3- Aramis
ss- Castro
ci- Ike
mi- Cozart
of- Stanton, BJ, Boesch, Bourjos, Mayberry (Thames, Smith)
util- Laroche (Sean Rodriguez)
sp- Gallardo, Latos, Morrow, Garza, Lewis, Garcia, Niese
cl- Axford, Marshall, Francisco
mr- K-Rod, Chapman
@shibboleth, I think your pitching got off to a rough start like mine, but it should come around. Not sure how many QS you will get though… Hitting wise looks solid for your categories, but you are a bit low on speed.
Anybody heard any news on Morse lately? I’ve read he’s back this weekend, but also heard that he went home for more treatment.
I was offered Morse – Marmol and would really like to take it.
Thanks!
I’d take Morse…
@artie,
CBS says Morse is playing / rehabbing in A or AA and should be back soon.
Thanks Chacin for the WHIP PROBS ALREADY!
I wonder how far into his first start I’ll make it before dropping Chacin.
@peter, hahahahah oh god… smh
@mrobs, happens every year doesn’t it??
@mrobs, thank god. that could have been much worse. Please don’t send him out there for another inning. pleeeaasseee
@peter, I just dropped him for Niese; if you can’t start him against the Giants then what is he worth? His starts at Petco only?
@DonSlaughtOnslaught, i put in a waiver claim for peralta…. i wouldn’t drop him for a bag of peanuts at this point. But it could be a frustrating year with him on your team. He may be valuable in deeper leagues, but i would just suggest not watching any of his starts from now on.
@DonSlaughtOnslaught, On the bright side, Chacin is a must-add for all Razzball leagues.
And at least the rest of us fantasy normals don’t need to overthink his match-ups… if he’s walking that many guys, it’s all the same!
@peter, yeah,guys were making fun of the ECFBL league for not drafting chacin,he can stll be a spot starter but i dont trust him
Freaking shit Chacin. I have freaking managed to grab every pitcher who has managed to blow up my team last week and this week. Great day with Anibal and then this douche comes in and fucking walks everyone around the bases.
@2 Cups 1 Braun, So ugly…
I have Lewis all over the place too. Not that I really liked him in Feb., but he was just going too late to pass up.
@Wake Up, Yup
@Grey,
My only hope is that Chacin goes down to the minors, learns how hit, and returns as an injury plagued, 4th OF like Rick Ankiel.
@peter, Well, he just singled…
@Steve, Saw that. I was hoping he’d be walked.
@Steve, He can really rip a 40 ft. ground ball into dead space…
@peter, HA!
And worse, the bastard looks like he’s actually enjoying it:

@Steve, Bigger smugshot.
@Grey, None smugger.
Thanks for shortening that URL. Was going to ask if you could delete the comment.
@Steve, No problem…
Pick up Barton or Kila Monster?
Drop Dirks or Hanigan?
big thanks!
@FuzzyD, Hold for now…
****STOREN: http://bit.ly/HCzAeN
@Grey, So the add is Lidge for odd-numbered days, Rodriguez for even ones?
@peter, Yup
Drew Storen felt elbow pain and will go visit Dr. Freeze.
Nats fear bone chip. Is it bad that since I own HRod this makes me salivate?
@Eddy, Nope, feel the same way…
@Grey, Really hope Johnson ends up with HRod, especially after that nasty 3 K save the other day.
For reference, Marquis had this last year and was out 2-3 months after surgery on the bone.
I hope so too… Or at least chooses one…
*Storen Update*
Experienced elbow pain after throwing a simulated game. He’s off to see Dr Andrews…
@Steve, Yup
More Twitter chat – Valentine indicating he will go to Aceves for the next Save opp, but was cryptic’ when asked if Bard would make just one start…
Thanks for the heads up!
@Grey, I have:
Aceves
Valverde
Betancourt
Johnson
Broxton
Crain (for Holds) as relievers in the ol’ H2H.
Drop Crain or Aceves to grab Henry?
Crain…
@Steve, Third!
Grey,
8 Team Roto league. Would you make this trade?
Give up Cruz
Get Andrus
Current Roster:
C – Ramos
1B – Votto
2B – Kinsler
3B – Lawrie
SS – Jeter
OF – Upton
OF – Holliday
OF – Cruz
UT – Hosmer
UT – Morales (1B/OF)
Bench – Reynolds, J.Montero
DL – Crawford, Utley
Obviously there are decent players on the WW in the OF, nothing so great at SS though. I have to admit that in a shallow 8 team league I feel sort of dirty having Jeter as my starting SS…
Nope…
@A Hill O’ Beans, Keep Cruz and grab Cozart
@Turd Ferguson, He is available, but I don’t know who the hell to drop to get him.
This is why I hate such shallow leagues (This is a keeper that was originally 12 teams, then 10, now 8, and hopefully back to 10 next year). There’s too many guys I want to pick up, but I’m too hesitant to drop a valuable guy at the same time.
What if it was Castro instead of Andrus??
@A Hill O’ Beans, In an 8-team league, I think you may be safe dropping Jeter. How many shortstops are rostered currently? Yes, it’s early to drop Jeter, so you’re probably fine waiting, but are Aybar, Dee Gordon, Hardy, Peralta, Alexei, and Bonifacio all rostered? I don’t think there’s much dropoff (if any) from Jeter to any of those guys.
@dingbat, All those guys are rostered. The top FA SS are Cozart, Yunel, Alcides and Desmond. Like I said earlier, there’s a lot kor OF available than there is SS.
@A Hill O’ Beans, Jeter’s not valuable in an 8 team league – he gives you nothing but runs. Remove his name from the equation and he wouldn’t be drafted anywhere
@Turd Ferguson, I don’t see dropping Jeter, certainly not for any of the guys that are available. That’s why I was considering Cruz for Andrus. I’m thinking of countering Cruz or Holliday for Castro, is that still too much?
Chacin rolling now.
@Steve, Would it surprise you to learn that, in the offseason, Chacin is one of those professional dog walkers that walks 8 dogs at a time?
@Peter, Nice…
@peter, Woof!
Rudy- This is very off topic, but can you point me towards a spreadsheet you’ve created (for the RCL analysis) that might allow me to calculate the relationship between dollars spent on Closers and final standings in Saves? I’m curious if closers are as terrible an investment as they are made out to be.
@BWC, I think you’re best to ask VinWins…
@BWC, you could calculate this from the worksheet in the rankings post.
More Twitter chat – Valentine indicating he will go to Aceves for the next Save opp, but was cryptic’ when asked if Bard would make just one start…
@Steve, Silly, Valentine…
Currently have Aceves, HRod is available. Pull the trigger yet?
Yup
My staff of sabathia, gio, chacin, Hanson, Cahill, and minor is causing me some anxiety. Wold you drop minor for niese? What is minor’s ceiling compared to niese’s?
@Abell, Hold for now…
See you’ve got Hultzen in a couple spots. Like him over S. Miller for this year? I can throw either one into a minors slot in a redraft.
@Steve Stevenson, No, liked him at his cheaper cost than Miller…
On a related to this post note that no one prolly cares about but me, I ended up with Gio, Beachy, Anibal, Minor, Yoenis, Adam Jones and K. Jansen on 3 out of my 5 teams this year. And a bunch of razzballish players on 2/5.
Really hoping for Kenley to take over the CL role at some point this year, it would make my teams so much stronger in SVs.
Was ticked to only land Longo in 1 league.
I’ve got Marmol, Hanrahan, Marshall, Balfour, Myers, and Storen on the DL. Do I drop anyone for HRod/Lidge and assuming Bard gains closer status in Beantown, do I drop anyone for him? My closers looked so decent at the start of the season…
@Wilsonian, Hold for now…
@Grey, just because I like to pick your brain. Hypothetically speaking, say Bard and/or HRod/Lidge take over as full time closer. Do you take either/any of them over one of my current crop of closers?
Potentially, but that bridge isn’t near let alone ready to be crossed…
@Grey, I ask now so I don’t have to ask you again in the future.
Gardner sitting again tonight against a lefty (Matsuz) for the second time in three days… Girardi pretty much said this could play out all season long with Garnder and Andruw in a platoon.
UGGGHHHHH!
http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/yankees/post/_/id/30727/new-lineup-vs-lefties-leaves-gardner-out
@mrobs, Assuming everyone stays healthy in that old Yankee lineup…
@mrobs,
Joe Girardi manages every game to avoid being 2nd guessed on the back pages of the NY Post. Losing in 2010 and 2011 has turned him into an AWFUL manager.
@Grey
Have you thought about making dedicated open discussion threads for the day’s/evening’s games? We always use the top post for this anyway regardless of the topic. Doesn’t seem to fit to me….but it’s just a thought.
@BigRedLatrine, I’ll consider it…
Drop Jim Johnson for H Rodriguez?
@Raja, I wouldn’t — Lidge still might have a share of the saves in Washington.
@Raja, Jim Johnson is 2 for 2 in save opps, not a ton of guys you can say that about.
@DonSlaughtOnslaught,
In fact there is a pretty star studded list of guys you CAN’T say that about.
@Grey,
In my ESPN league I currently have Walden, Broxton, and Lidge. On the waiver wire there is Reed, Aceves, Melancon, Rodney, and Peralta. Who would you add/drop from that group? Will Reed still take over the closer role?
Also, would you drop Chacin or Minor for any of the following: Dempster, J. Santana, Norris, Volquez, or Worley.
@Melvin Emanuel, Johan over Chacin…
@Grey, Thanks Grey.
First part of my question: Drop Broxton and/or Lidge for any of Reed, Aceves, Melancon, Rodney or Peralta?
Thanks
@Melvin Emanuel, Hold…
@Grey, I was fully expecting you to tell me to drop Lidge for Reed ha
J. Chacin – I saw this coming but yet I was powerless to do anything – I hated his spring training work – his fastball has become a slowball – and worst than that I will take the punishment next time around also
@Mr Baseball, I drafted him in way too many leagues as a 4th 5th abd 6th starter
@ Grey :
@ Plucky :
@ vinko
re : henderson alvarez
even though i own my super sleeper on all 4 teams ,
i am not starting him tonight , at home , in his 1st appearance
of the season , which just happens to be against the sawx , who
scored a crap-load of runs yesterday .
but i will be watching his every pitch , mound presence , and
general deportment .
i hope that i get sonuvabenched … and , oh how you’ll laugh !
but it’s a long season .
and i’ve got him on 2 keepers and a dynasty .
so , there’s that .
@chata, Hope he works out for you…
Add H. Rodriguez and lose Chacin, Peavy, Peralta, Pestano, or K. Jansen in a 12 team, H2H league with K/9??
Thanks Grey
@Whiskey Diet, Peralta…
All these crap starts and yet Zito is shutting out the Rockies at home…Is baseball just pulling a huge practical joke on their fans? Has April Fools Day become April Fools Month? Baseball fans- you got punk’d!
Or maybe it’s just too early to say anything. Probably the latter.
@royce!, Yeah, so annoying…
Does anyone else remember seeing Davey say he would turn to Clippard if Storen ended up being out longer than mid April? Or am I making that up?
@Black Beard, Making it up…
@Grey, my bust.
Got a few:
1. Drop Peralta or Kenley for H. Rodriguez?
2. Cozart’s hot start has Espinosa on my bench at MI. Play matchups or give the starting MI job to one or the other?
3. What level closer should I move Cozart for if I want to give Espinosa every day time?
@knighttown, Peralta… Whoever’s hot, right now Cozart… A middle of the road Donkeycorn… Think League…
@grey: which two do you think will have the most impact for late 2012 and 2013 keepers? Teheran, Trevor Bauer, Dominic brown, or Anthony Rizzo?
Bauer, Rizzo…
The peacock is currently not in MLB
Think I know the answer, but do you swap Chacin out, for any of:
Nolasco
Hochevar
Vargas
Hughes
Arrieta
Richard
?
12-team, H2H.
I’d hold there…
Ugh, was kinda hoping for more out of Mauer, Kendrick and Car-Go today than 1-12.
Wow. Heyward out of the lineup tonight v. the lefty Happ. Should I officially be worried?
@Black Beard, Yeah…
Still on the Bailey train?
@Turd Ferguson, It was pretty tentative…
Marcum. Barney – really?
@Steve, Damn, actually got sonavabenched on that one…
Olney just told me that the Boston GM says Bard will stay in the rotation…
@Steve, Thanks for the heads up!
@Steve,
valentine said the same thing , last week .
@chata, Yes, but Aceves hadn’t failed to record an out in two appearances at that stage.
@Grey: Wieters!
Sweet!
Ellsbury for my Dread Pirate + Walden
Fair trade? I already have Valverde, Wilson, Motte.
It’s fair… Bit much…
Any chance Youk gets a damn hit soon?
Next AB, promise!
@Grey, Sad trombone.
Big news! No hitter today. Twins BP coach!
@Wake Up, HA!
Nice call on Storen. I’ve got the HankRod!
@Wake Up, Oh, yeah…
Does Yu know we count whip over here?…
@Turd Ferguson, Ha!
drop Minor, Buchholz, or Edwin Jackson for Henderson Alvarez?
@Colton, Buchholz
18 Team, Keeper with weekly roster sets
Henry Rodriguez is still available.
I Have Kimbrel and Street with Melancon on the bench. Drop Mel if I can snag Rodriguez?
@Mac D, Yup
yo,darvish,this is the big leagues
@AL KOHOLIC, Gettin’ a feel for the terrain.
Get Votto give Hosmer / Brian Wilson ?
I can still pick up B. Myers. I don’t know if he will bite. Hoping Votto doesn’t jack a homer tonight.
Sure…
Tuned in late in excitement, only to see Darvish has given up 5ER already.
Worst. First. Week. Ever.
@TheNewGuy, Can’t empathize with Yu…
No, no, no Ventura – this is where we need Jesse Crain.
Justin Upton and Logan Morrison or Beltre and Swisher, 12 team h2h mixed…
Thanks
@Zach, Upton
@Grey: Reimold, Rivera, Saunders, Pierre, Brantley, or Bernardina as my 5th OF?
@ThE sHiT, None? Bernadina or Brantley…
@Grey, I wish it could be none. Do you think Rivera gets regular AB’s in between Kemp and Ethier? I think Ethier is going to rebound big.
@ThE sHiT, You sound like a Dodgers fan… Rivera’s pretty bad… If you wanna try him, go for it…
@Grey, Lol well i am. But i also want the best production. It is for my RCL team.
Dolis or Wood? Better long-term flier for saves down the road in Chicago?
@elwood blues, Wood
I got offerred hosmer and soo choo for my hamels and ike davis. I have good pitching depth, but could use an additional hitter. Take it?
@Trick dad, Sounds decent…
So. Dropping Thornton for Crain for a better shot at Holds worked out pretty well…
Where does Crain fit into that pen, then?
@Steve, Guess they didn’t need him today…
H-Rod comes into a tie game to face one batter in the eighth…
@Black Beard, Looks pretty filthy… Wild though…
@Grey, Pretty untidy effort from Henry. With Storen now gone for a while, you think the Nats maybe edge towards Lidge for Saves?
@Steve, Don’t think it’s decided yet, but Lidge might have an upper hand for now…
Red Sox take the lead. Who’s it gonna be?
@Steve, watching the game… Alfrdo is coming out of the pen
@Mrobs, I’d actually just be happy to see him get someone out.
@Steve, Nice thing, is he could double his ERA without changing it
@Steve, 1 down… he’s looking a lil better so far
@Mrobs, WHOOOO
Great. More closer controversy. Santos looked like he was bowling cricket.
What a mess…
Grey: i”ve been offered sandoval and rickie weeks for Bautista. weeks would take the place of either david murphy or bourjos in my UT spot (have kendrick at 2B). Panda would replace bautista at 3B. Weeks is the only one keeper eligible in the deal. what say you?
Bautista side
Axford needs to get en effing grip on the situation here…
And now Henry is all over the place…
He couldn’t even get the ball to the 1st baseman….
@Grey,
Drop Chacin for which of the following Billingsley or Niese?
Also, could you list the following closers from best to worst? -Santiago, H-Rod, Aceves, Peralta, Rodney
@Tele, Niese… Santiago, Aceves, Rodney…
Uggla off to a familiar start….
Aceves on to close for the BoSox…2 up and 2 down so far…everyone hold your breath, he might actually get a save.
@letsgobravos, Holy crap, Aceves pitches a 1-2-3 inning!
So what’s the over/under on closers playing (Doc) Freeze-tag this year? I wonder if Rudy can summons his stats monkey and see if it has anything to do with the number of fans upset about the Houston to AL move (or Houston fans, period)…I smell a correlation!
Also: way early, but I wonder if Sergio is gonna be Santoast this year; kinda wonder about his leash with a new club.
God damnit, the only thing good about the braves sucking so much ass was all the saves I racked up from frank frank this weekend. I was hoping for more from Myers tonight and of course the braves had to bring in Durbin to throw BP in 8th and the Astros turned it into home run derby.
@Grey,
Drop Chacin for Billingsley or Niese?
Also, could you list the following closers from best to worst? -Santiago, H-Rod, Aceves, Peralta, Rodney.
Thanks in advance.
what do you guys think about spot starting cahill in Petco tomorrow…
@beardcrabs, Well, I’m going to the game, and so far they’ve lost every time I’ve gone this year, so I’d say, do it! Also, regardless of my attendance, everyone’s a hodgepadre in Petco!
@royce!, good shit i just needed the reassurance, its for an RCL… thanks bro… ill be down there at some point when the Giants are in Town…
@beardcrabs, C’mon dude, of course you have to start him in PetCo. If you are debating that start, where exactly would you feel good about starting him?
@letsgobravos, your right just not a fan of him…
@beardcrabs, Ah, I see. Cahill’s not a scrub and its PetCo. Start with confidence.
12 team head to head 7×7 with ops, ks
McCutchen/Pence or Granderson/Victorino?
@The Burghler, Is this a serious question?
@The Burghler, McCutchen side. (Unless it’s not serious. In which case…ha? But it’s serious. This fake game will kill us all!)
Desperate for saves. 10 team and all I have is Putz, Motte, and Jansen
Do I drop Jansen for any of these?
J. Johnson, or 1 of the Washington duo Lidge or Rodriguez
@No Name, Jim Johnson has a job, Jansen doesn’t. Easy call, imo.
Sorry for adding to the “Samardzija or ‘x’” Qs, but what two do you like best: Samardzija, Henderson Alvarez, or Milone? I picked up the latter two for their two start week and am enjoying the results, but Samardzija’s first start was ridiculous.
@royce!, Samardzija, Milone… Should balance each other out nicely with no Ks and Ks, no WHIP and WHIP.
Anyone buying into B-zeet’s SO?
Looks like BPhillips might miss a day or two with a hammy issue. Not like my team will be missing much with him on the bench…
@Wilsonian, Thanks for the heads up!
7 shutout innings for Milone with 3 hits, 3 BB and 0 K’s…wait, what?? 0 K’s in 7 innings!?!? 0!?!?
@B.o.B, *8 innings, 0 K
@B.o.B, Yup… That’s how he do…
@Grey, Is this concerning to you?
@Grey, Serious question: how do/did you know Milone will/would have such a poor K rate in the majors? His K/9 for the last 2 years (each ~150 IP) was 8.8 and 9.4.
@peter, I mean, what am I missing that you’re seeing, Obi Wan?
OK. I know I’ve only just picked Henry up, but of this bunch…
Aceves
Valverde
Betancourt
Johnson
Broxton
Henry
He’s the most droppable, right?
