@Slappy McSlap: I'd hold Hamilton and Beltran. And hold Peavy on the DL if I had the spot, if not lose him.

@Grey What are your thoughts on Hamilton, Beltran and Peavy providing anything worthwhile down the stretch in a H2H league... better to drop em like they're hot or hold and see if they can recover for a sept push? thanks.

@Jif & the Choosy Mothers: I was disappointed by his latest effort -- not as much blatant stupidity as he usually has. This bit was good, though:

Matt (TX)

Stephen Drew or Barlett the rest of the way?
AJ Mass
 (11:48 AM)

I like Drew a lot to close the gap between the two, but I don't think he catches him overall. But since Bartlett has such a huge head-start, I'll go Drew rest of the way.

"close the gap"? "catches him overall"? "head-start"? What does that have to do with the question? The guy asked about performance for the rest of the season!

Re: fantasy analysts on other sites, ESPN has one really good guy: Christopher Harris. I can also read Karabell and Roberts, but Harris is the best of the bunch.

Yahoo has the great Andy Behrens and the very good Pianowski, but the rest of their writers are trash, and CBS is an embarrassment. Scott White I used to shoot spitballs at in 5th grade. What a pud.

@Grey: Thanks for the last answer. Re: Bedard, do you see him coming back and contributing in a meaningful way? I've got Haren, Lester, Nolasco, Kershaw, Wandy, Lackey, and Jurrjens, in addition to Bedard, so obviously too many SPs. VERY unlikely in my league that anyone would trade for Bedard (or for anyone else for that matter), so I'm wondering if I should just cut him loose. Maybe get a bench hitter or a good MR.
