Our pitching stats are extremely close. I’m up 1 win on him at the moment. I’m leading by a fuzz in ERA and he’s ahead a little in the WHIP department. He leads me with 1 less walk and we’re tied in K’s. He’s still going to be throwing Lee, Dice-K, Beckett, and Nolasco at me. Plus, he’s got Gavin Floyd going tonight…risky. And he just picked up Scott Lewis….really risky.

We’re also deadlocked at 3 Saves apiece, he with Rivera and I with Papelbon. I was Delcarmenized last night.

Brett Myers totally screwed me last night…..again. 2 starts in a row now. I’ve dropped him for the best possible start. Sonanstine against Detroit on Friday. I figured Detroit has little heart right now and they’re playing a whole lot of minor leaguers. The Rays need to win.

I still have CC, Shields, Hamels, and Scott Baker throwing for me this week. Should I pull the trigger on Sonanstine?

One thing I noticed was that Delmon Young is really hitting the ball hard. He’s on fire, and he isn’t hitting wimpy singles up the middle like he was earlier in the season. He hit the ball very hard each time last night. His only out came on a narrowly missed home run. If anyone’s looking for a hot bat (!), Delmon might be available and valuable over the weekend.
