Blalock's health as DH?

Postby Simply Fred » Wed Mar 25, 2009 6:03 pm

Rudy, in your review of the Mariners you state: "If the M’s can limit Griffey to mostly DH’ing, he should be able to stay relatively healthy." Does the same apply to Blalock? I know his injury history is deplorable. However, one would think that as a DH he would hold up. Will the Rangers send him onto the field to get hurt? Is running the bases enough of a challenge to get him hurt? Else???

Sheffield and Hafner were full-time DHs last year....how'd that turn out in terms of health? :)

Blalock is a $1-$2 flier in an AL-only league and that's about it....

Made room for Cantu instead, per Grey's advice. This one was old. I apologize for not updating and saving you the trouble.
