I offered Tex/Schafer for AGon/Seager.

He counters with Tex/Papelbon for AGon/Seager. Says he needs a closer.


I cant let Paps go with my only other "real" closer being Motte. I do have Aceves and Cashner, but obviously they cant be trusted 100%.

Would countering with Tex/Aceves/Schafer for AGon/Seager be realistic? Or am I giving too much to get only Seager as the 2nd piece in the trade?

It's hard to answer without knowing what your whole team looks like, but I'd try Tex/Aceves for AGon/Seager first. Ace hasn't given up a run in the past 2 weeks, so you can make a case for him being a valuable piece on his own.

Countered with Tex/Ace for AGon/Seager, but was shot down again.

Would Tex/Motte be too high a price for AGon/Seager?

I have Zobrist and he's struggling. Other guy has Kipnis, but I doubt he lets him go.

Stick with Zobrist -- he's walking and hitting for power, and his bad luck on balls in play should even out soon.
