Old Man River - (n) refers to either Trevor Hoffman or Troy Percival. When using this phrase you must sing it as part of the lyrics

In the same vein Jamie Moyer should be the Galapagos Tortoise. Unlike the above two OMR's, the Tortiose lacks the force of the mighty Mississippi and instead relies on a slow, methodical approach to life and crusty outer shell to get him through times. With an expected lifespan of 150-200 years, the Tortoise will still be pitching his 73 MPH changeup when our kids are putting in waiver claims for Volquez II.

The proof is in the pictures:

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Very Nice. I'd include Julio Franco in those definitions.

That pic is fantastic. But not sure 'Galapagos Tortoise' - is it fun to say? Moyer and his ilk need a nickname though...

How about...

Leftosaurus - A lefty pitcher over 40 years old that gets by on craftiness and 8 variations of changeup. Prone to the homer ball and hitting the showers before the 7th inning. See Jamie Moyer, Tom Glavine.

I've got the magic touch lately, Rudy. To apologize to Uggla for benching him (besides the salami last night the last time I benched him was the 2-bomber night) I put him back in and benched Kinsler. Of course Uggla sat and Kinsler went deep.

I'm just going to do everybody a favor and post all my moves on the forum. Everybody else should dominate as long as they do the opposite. You have to give me 15% of your money league winnings though.

And for the record, I didn't say Moyer was bad, just that he got by on, uh, that crafty leftiness?

Where does Randy Johnson fit? Will he be another Leftysaurus soon?

Randy's old but he still brings it when he's healthy. Kind of like Clemens.

Randy's just a freak.
