I am not big on keeping Catchers. Also I think Montero is the bigger name but Heyward was THE big rookie 2 years ago. He has a lot of room for growth and I think his upside is bigger. I think Heyward is Montero plus 10 SB. Heyward is also likely to get more PT.

Because if Heyward is Montero with 10 more SBs, I'll gladly take Montero at catcher because I could make up that difference with a sleuth of outfielders putting up similar stats. How many C's can you say the same?

Also, I think Heyward is the one in trouble of Playing Time, because he could easily be demoted if he does not start putting his game together. Montero will play, especially with who they traded for him, and with much less pressure.

Well yes. And his counting stats are short of heyward by about 25 runs and 20 rbis. But HR and avg should be similar. I don't understand why you would want to keep a catcher in a non-dynasty league.

And by saying Montero will play, do you mean 400 ab? Or do you think he is Victor Martinez and will DH 4/5 of games and get over 500 abs?

The Braves don't really have many options in the outfield, so I doubt that Heyward really loses any playing time. Constanza did great last year and deserved to start over a flailing Heyward, but it's not going to repeat.

I'd want Heyward.
