There is going to be a serious closer crunch in an upcoming NL only draft and I have an offer out in which I give up a $23 Lincecum and a $4 Jansen for either Kimbrel at $14 or Motte at $4. I think I'm paying too much and I would like to substitute Goldschmidt at $10 instead of Jansen. My question is, would you trade Goldy and Lince for Kimbrel? Motte? Which one would you prefer? (Keep in mine that Lincecum is somewhat expendable because I have Kershaw) Thanks!

I wouldn't trade Lincecum for a closer.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

I can't see your team so I don't know your situation. Normally I would never make that trade, saves will show up on the waiver at some point in the season.

Thank you for the responses!

I have a stud line-up:
CarGo
Kemp
Upton
Tulo
LoMo

to go along with:

Kershaw
Lincecum
Jansen

It is a 10 NL league and we can keep 8. Fairly deep rosters.
Last year I had to pay about $50 for KRod and the artist formerly known as Leo Nunez because there wasn't anyone else who had a closer job available in the draft. It will be worse this year. Do you still think I should keep Lince?
I'm in great shape if I do...maybe I'm over trading....

If saves are that hard, why not win all the other stats while everyone else over pays for closers?

I agree. Punt saves and focus on supporting your studs.

I'm definitely contemplating that. I don't think anyone has ever won the league when they punted a category...very difficult. You guys make a good point though. Jansen has a good chance of getting me some points at least.
