Vin thanks again. All I did was calculate R-Squared for final standing versus the category rank and the category totals. Basically what that does is say how closely does x correlate to y or x predict y if you prefer. In this case x is the final standing and y is the category. For R-Squared, 1.0 means it perfectly predicts. The higher the score the closer the correlation.
One thing that was not surprising is that the rate categories had relatively low correlation (especially average). I expected HRs would be the best predictor, but that turned out to be wrong. It's actually R, RBI, K, W. I have some theories about this but I'll think about it some more.
