6 teams pushed the start limit on Monday.

Image

Team Losch (RCL 34)

Team Losch gained 4.5 points and moved up a spot to 3rd with the help of 49 Ks, the highest total so far for teams finishing off their starts. The Rangers only used CJ Wilson for 2 innings, but at least they were scoreless innings.

Butte Marauders (RCL 5)

The Marauders built a nice night around Shields, who won #16.

Image

Fanghorn 9 (ECFBL)

Axelrod contributed his 1st career victory.

Image

Tennessee Jed (RCL 30)

In a 1st place battle with Boston Peter Gammons, Jed sent out 6 starters. Probably expected more from Hudson and McCarthy.

Image

Boston Beaneaters (ECFBL)

A second team from the ECFBL. Couldn't have been much left to choose from there. The 16 pitchers managed just 4 wins.

Butte Marauders (RCL 22)

A second Butte Marauders! Did not manage to have as good a night as the first though.

Tuesday was not a great day to load up on starters.

Image

Magnificent Ivy (RCL 22)

Image

In need of wins, the Ivy had 6 starters but recorded only 1 victory. Unfortunately left 2 wins on the bench.

The Schmohawks (Original Recipe)

Thanks to Bumgarner, Vazquez, and Oswalt, had the best night of these 11 teams. Added 3 points and moved into 2nd place.

Image

Macho Grande Pilots (RCL #27 Empire of the Razz)

Also added 3 points to move within 4.5 of 1st place.

Chainsaw Jugglers (More Donkeycorns Please)

Recorded 49 strikeouts, matching the total Team Losch put up on Monday, and increased their lead to 6.5 points in More Donkeycorns Please.

Image

Evil Evies (ECFBL)

Not too bad a night for the Evies. Nice start from Cahill.

Mustache Riders (The Dread Pirate Rides Again)

Image

Fantasy Hanging Fruit (RCL 25)

Tough night with 8 starters, but 0 wins.

RA Dickey Jokes (Ones are GOOD right?)

Gained a point and a half to take sole possession of 4th place.

Image

Call Me Tater Salad (RCL 7)

Gained 1/2 point to solidfy their hold on 3rd place.

My Gut Is Latos Intolerant (RCL 6)

Lost their 2.5-point lead and are now tied with the Louisville Bats.

Image

Merritt Island the bat rastard (ECFBL)

A second ECFBL team, so few viable options. They gained a couple points in the standings despite the distinction of the highest ERA of all teams that have tried finishing with extra starters.

The final day saw some great numbers put up thanks to nice lines from Carl Pavano, Stephen Strasburg, Bruce Chen, Ted Lilly, Miguel Batista, Wade LeBlanc, Matt Harrison, Gio Gonzalez, and Philip Humber.

Image

Lincecum in my Posey (The Beer League)

Used 6 starters and finished with an amazing 1.30/0.89 ERA/WHIP to clinch first place.

Before Youkillis All (RCL #33)

Used only 5 starters, but recorded 4 wins with the help of reliever Mike Adams. Right behind LimP in ERA/WHIP.

Image

Acme Explosives (ECFBL)

Threw more innings than any other team, and still had an ERA of 1.44 and 0.87 WHIP, with 48 Ks. They lowered their ERA .097 in 1 day.

Dude, where's my DeLorean??? RCL: The Number 23

Only 5 starters, but still managed 3 wins. Left a win on the bench, though (Zack Greinke).

Image

Fat Joe and the Terror Squad (RCL 3)

Improved their ERA by .053.

Harry Cornholes (Sonic Death Monkey)

Only 4 starters as Cole Hamels was used in relief, but 3 of them had wins.

Image

Poison Control (RCL 17)

In a lineup with Chen, LeBlanc, and Volstad, it was Price who failed to deliver.

Catchup and Fryman (RCL 25)

Brett Myers was busy helping the Cards get into the playoffs, so he couldn't help this team. They ended up 2nd by 1 point.

Image

Big Z's Anger Management (RCL #33)

Gained 4 points in the standings and moved into 3rd place overall.

Image

Optimistic Mustaches (RCL Original Recipe) A nice night for the champions of this tough league with Chen, Greinke, and LeBlanc leading the way. Left Pavano on the bench, though.

7 Days A Weeks (Robust Herd) Another league champion, got 21 Ks from Gio and Strasburg.

The BallBusters (RCL 34) Chen and Strasburg overcame Myers to finish with a good line.

GIMME MAH SPOTLIGHT! (Razzball League #5)
They gained 3 points in the standings to keep my Toronto Bautistas down in 5th.

Boston MASSpike potHOLES (Ones are GOOD right?)
Gio and Batista helped this team stay in 3rd in Tony's money league.

Cooperstown SchMohawks (Slam and Legs Special)
A bonus win from Jim Johnson added to Lilly and LeBlanc's victories.

The Fuzz (Patrons of Poonhoundery)
One of the top strikeout totals at 45, thanks to Gio, Morrow, and Dempster (don't look at his 14.29/2.12 ERA/WHIP).

Brain Freeze (RCL #9) Gained 2 points and moved up a spot in the standings.
