I was offered this trade:

I give Darren McFadden

I get Mike Tolbert and Miles Austin

While I don't think there's even the slightest chance Tolbert repeats last week's effort, he's a solid player. And Austin is a good WR, of which I only have two (team in signature). I hate to give up McFadden, but considering my horrendous bench, is it worth it?

How many players do you start?

1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex, 1 TE, 1 D, 1 K.

Right now I start:

Orton/Cutler (matchups)
McCoy
Forte
Calvin Johnson
Marshall
McFadden
Hernandez
Stream D
Mason Crosby

I don't need Austin or Tolbert to bolster my starters; I would be getting them to improve my bench. I have no startable WR beyond the two I have (unless one of Emmanuel Sanders or Antonio Brown becomes a #2 in Pitt).

I would not do this. You should be thinking how can I have my best lineup for the weeks I don't have bye weeks and the playoffs. If you lose a few points on a bye week situation, your opponent probably is too. The goal of fantasy h2h is not to win every game, but to win the most games and the last few. If you can make trades to help your bye week that don't leave studs on your bench, but you are clearly reducing your potential with this trade.

IE if you can move a DMC or a combo of a qb + other player for a stud QB. Or if you could flip Starks 141 for a WR you would be better off.

Thanks, Bourne. I was actually looking at byes after I posted this, and I realized I'm not too bad off. Plus, of the two weeks I can see a real problem, Austin would only help me with one (since one of those weeks is the same week he's on bye).

Strangely, people in my league aren't aboard the Starks train. I've been trying to trade him for a QB -- a lot of teams have better backups than my starters (like Eli Manning) -- but people seem to prefer hanging on to their backup QBs.

I was setting my lineup today and surprised to see Starks only 50% owned and 15% started in yahoo.

Oh and some people are just terrible with their roster management. We have a guy rostering 3QB's, 3TE's and 2 D's in a league with 6 bench slots
