The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Cardinals manager Tony LaRussa is considering using Kyle McClellan as the team's closer. With Edwin Jackson joining the St. Louis rotation by way of a three-team trade with the White Sox and Blue Jays, McClellan will be moving to the bullpen in an "important role," according to LaRussa. If that role turns out to be the closer's job, Fernando Salas would move back into a middle relief role. Salas has converted 19 of 22 save opportunities as the Cardinals' closer this season, posting a 2.57 ERA.

Well, I think the situation in Philly is up in the air. It seems to be Madson > Bastardo > Lidge at the moment.

So, which one of the three I mentioned has the least chance of seeing saves/being a closer in the second half? I rushed to pick up McClellan and dropped Dotel. However, I can still pick up Dotel for one of the others if I need to.
