As you can see, with the exception of steals, I am killing my opponent in the offensive categories. ERA and WHIP is closer than I would like. Because I log much fewer innings, ERA and WHIP can come down (or go up!) pretty quickly for me.

While my ragtag mob of relievers can get Saves and Holds, they can't always do it without giving up plenty of hits/walks and the odd run.

Thus I'm considering using Olsen tomorrow agaonst the Nats (good matchup, no?) to try and get my ERA and WHIP down in a big chunk. If I can do this, I'd be just about home and dry (for 3rd) I reckon.

What do you think?

It's hard to figure the Nots doing anything tomorrow, but I wouldn't start Olsen. I'm just not a fan. I'd go for Bush against the Pirates first. But the real question is why are you starting either of these guys. If you take saves and steals, you're golden. Not that you aren't already. If you start either of these guys and they don't pitch well, then you might find yourself having to start more of them. You may still win, but I don't think it's necessary.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Yeah - better safe than sorry on this occasion.

I just can't get ahead in Saves. I have so many relievers that I keep getting Sonavabenched - it's hard to pick how many closers and which Holds guys to go with on a given day.

Like today - you had to favour the Sox over the Tribe, so left Lewis on the bench. You know the rest.

Amazingly, my opponent has got his 7 saves from just K-Rod and Lidge!

Juast reading Lolhamburger's thread and saw that he is picking up Bartlett for his (hopefully) two starts tomorrow.

As I'm only three steals behind, it can't hurt to drop Markakis for him can it? with Teahen and Hawpe as RF options, I'm not likely to use Markakis again...

Yeah, sometimes it's better to just have two really good guys.
