Here it is, week 2 of h2h playoffs, and the pitching on one of my teams, so far, looks like this:

Salomon Torres: 1 IP, 4 hits, 2 BB, 3 ER
Fernando Rodney: .2 IP, 2 hits, 1 BB, 1 ER
Mike Gonzalez: 1 IP, 1 hit, 1 ER

I take no pleasure from a fellow Razzballer's misfortune ;) . However, I can truly say that I know how that feels.

An hour or so ago, I was cursing that I had neither Mike G or Buchholz in my lineup today - looked like I was going to miss out on a save and then a possible win.

Happy to have benched them now, obviously...

Buchholz hasn't looked good. Given that your pitching is all RP, what's your strategy in this kind of a situation? Do you leave him on the bench until he turns it around? Or do you cut ties and go with someone who has been performing better?

Those are some razztastic #s. Unfortunately, I take it that it's not a razzball-rules league?

I actually have Buchholz benched most of the time now. I also have Kuo and Hanrahan who can fill my SP slots, although I break out in a cold sweat every time Hanrahan gets the ball.
Not sure I'd ever drop Buchholz but he has struggled a bit lately. Perhaps he is wearing down?

I own Hanrahan in a league, too. Yeah, cold sweat is a good way to describe it. Mercifully, it doesn't happen very often. About Buchholz, I think he's fine. But monitor him, I guess. Another crappy outing over his next couple appearances isn't a good sign.

re: Kuo.. I heard he was shut down for a little bit with arm trouble. I don't know what the most recent news is on that, though.

Ah crap re: Kuo.

I did wonder why he didn't come into a close game yesterday.

Looks like Buchholz might get another shot at that SP slot...
