Hey ChrisV82: Is your avatar the old Ft. Wayne Pistons mascot?

Haha, no, but that's hilarious. I wish more mascots were "retarded awesome," as I like to say (starting right now).

Since 2000? Is that your sentence in lieu of jail time?

Anyway, the Knicks had some great pick-ups this year. I could see them maybe getting into the playoffs.

I will miss David Lee, though.

Lakers lock up another one before the Miami trio go on a run starting in '11-'12 season.

I have to admit, I haven't heard from many disappointed Knicks fans this summer. Are they out there? Amar'e, Raymond, Randolph. They're all nice pieces, but they all feel like side dishes to a Christmas ham that never made it to the table.

Is the seventh seed in the playoffs good enough for this team after what they've put fans through these last five (6,7,8,9...) years?

I never thought LeBron would come to the Knicks. It sounded good to media types, but made no sense from a player's perspective. It would be like Albert Pujols signing with the Astros next season (if Houston was a huge globally recognized city, anyway).

As for a 7th seed being okay...I mean, sometimes you take what you can get. I'm happy with a roster of B+ talent even if there's no A+ superstar to lead the charge. It seems to work okay for the Celtics.
