Reverse Sonofabench?

Got a good suggestion to add to our Glossary (http://razzball.com/fantasy-baseball-terms/)? Here's where to submit it...

Reverse Sonofabench?

Postby larylar » Mon Aug 16, 2010 2:49 pm

I feel there needs to be a term to describe the action that mostly happens in leagues where you set your line-up once a week, when a stiff like Thome or Hafner hits 2 or 3 homeruns in a weekend on your bench or the waiver wire, convinces you to put him in for the next week, then he lays a 2-for-22 week on you before you can get him out. This happens to me more than I would like to admit.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Smactivated - When one activates someone after a Sonovabench stretch only to get smacked by an awful stretch. Even more painful in weekly leagues. Example: I finally put Lyon on my starting roster because he's the interim closer and he Smactivates me with a 6 run inning!
