RCL Original Recipe Standings Update

Postby Steve » Thu Jul 22, 2010 3:22 pm

Maybe if the commish posts one while his team is in the shitter, it will cause it to get better.

The Schmohawks (aka Bob's Senior Citizens' Collective) continue to make no race of it. The only notable thing that has happened of late has been an unbelievable power surge from the Hippos. Not that you'd know it from the standings.

In fact all the surge has done, is screw things up for anyone (actually, me!) in the top half of the standings who's trying to make any meaningful progress. Get back in the mud, Hippo!

Trades since June 1 below also...

Thanks for the update! Not sure if you got the better of that Dunn trade so far. Bob's team is really setting the pace for a while now, huh?

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Yeah - if Hamels and Bills keep up their form from the last two days, I'll have been hosed!

Still, Greinke pitched well yesterday and Dunn went deep today, so there's that.

Oh - and yes on Bob. BSA has been steady, but for everyone else it's two steps forward and three steps back.

Or is that just me?

Bob has so many fewer starts too with all of those Ks. He's doing something right.

Bob has 6 closers, Liriano, Niemann, Colby Lewis and Kuroda.

Look at any team in the league and you'll find head-scratchers as to why that team has been good OR bad.

Seems pretty fair. You got the best guy, but Doc got all usable parts.

Yeah. Obviously it would be nice if Rasmus pokes his tongue out at you (yes, that's you, Grey!) for the rest of the season, but I'm schlepping around in the middle of the standings, and my pitching-heavy draft (Verlander, Bills, Hamels) has pretty much bitten me in the ass, so thought I'd give it a go and see what happens.
