I am in a 12 team 5 man keeper league. I was thinking about trading Chris Johnson and a 2nd round pick for Greg Jennings and the 1st overall pick (Ryan Mathews).

I traded for an extra keeper. So right now my keepers are Roddy White, Chris Johnson, Knowshon Moreno, Cedric Benson, Sidney Rice, and Vincent Jackson.

What do you think?

I don't like the deal for you. Mathews is completely unproven. Jennings is good, but just came off a poor season. CJ is the no doubt #1 pick in almost any scoring system. You can get more.

Would the keeper spot be for next season or this one? I'm still leaning against, but I do like Greene. Who are your WRs?

Right now my WRs are Roddy White, Sidney Rice, and Vincent Jackson. My other two RBs are Cedric Benson and Knowshon Moreno.

That would give me Shonn Greene, Cedric Benson, Knowshon Moreno, Roddy White, DeSean Jackson, Sidney Rice, and Vincent Jackson going into the draft this year.

In this league they start QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, RB/WR, WR/TE, K, D/ST.

I love Chris Johnson. I think he will be a consistent top 5 back. I would like to try to win this year though and I am debating on whether or not having CJ or Shonn and DeSean on my team will help me do that. I feel like if Vincent Jackson was not going to be out for 10 games this season I would like this trade less. I am afraid if I don't pull the trigger on this deal soon though the other guy is going to back out. I want to have the best talent I can in those 6 spots(RB, RB, WR, WR, RB/WR, WR/TE).

I am with you. I like Shonn Greene but I am still leaning towards no. The depth that my team would have after the trade is the most enticing aspect of this offer.

By the way, Val Kilmer's Doc Holliday was my childhood hero growing up. I must have seen Tombstone at least 100 times.

I think it comes down to how much that keeper slot would help you. If you get to keep a player you think will be substantially better than the one you would draft I think it would be a decent deal.
