More injuries, more closer meltdowns… but let’s focus on some positives. Week 1 top team, Bosch Brothers (in Trout We Trust), still has more points than anyone else at 113.5. Team Balls (No Guts, No Glory) moved from fifth to first with a 30-point gain. Prague Pivo Pounders (Double Platinum Haters) and Tarzana Orange (Is it next year yet) each moved from 10th to second in their leagues. It’s still very early and anything is possible.

Evan Gattis and Tony Cingrani were the big adds this week, and are now owned in 63 and 61 leagues respectively. In one league, Gattis netted Billy Butler in a trade.

EXPERTS: KFFL’s Nick Minnix gained 6 points and took over first place, thanks in large part to Alexi Ogando, CC Sabathia, and Anibal Sanchez. The three combined for 4 wins and 32 strikeouts, with an ERA of 1.67 and 1.02 WHIP. Grey dropped a couple of spots to third in a week where he hit .295, but did not collect a stolen base. Rudy dropped to 9th as his pitchers recorded a 5.19 ERA and 1.45 WHIP for the week. You can find their weekly stats here.

Writers: Andrew Nordmeier stretched his lead to 14 points with the Cabrera boys, Miggy and Melky, leading the way. A .312 average and 2.20 ERA were the key stats for Andrew. Sky jumped 5 places to third with big weeks from Chris Carter and Anibal Sanchez. Check out all the writers’ week 2 stats.

Trades: The second week saw the trade market heat up a bit. Alex Rios was dealt for Giancarlo Stanton in the ECFBL. In the writers’ league, JB and Tehol worked out a couple of deals that saw Tehol add relievers Rafael Betancourt and Glen Perkins in exchange for starters Jose Fernandez and Clay Buchholz. Tehol followed the same pattern in Night of the Living Zombinos, dealing Mike Minor  for Tom Wilhelmsen. Royce! picked up Matt Holliday and Sean Doolittle from Al Koholic in Original Recipe for CC Sabathia and Johnny Cueto. In Imposing Sea Creatures, a huge deal saw Pablo Sandoval, Matt Kemp, and Jayson Werth traded for David Wright, Hunter Pence, and Torii Hunter. And, there was even a vetoed deal, though the two teams involved did rework it and complete the trade later in the week. Jay Bruce, Jered Weaver, and David Price are also on the list of traded players. There have now been 42 trades involving 133 players. You can see all the details in the Fantasy Baseball Forums.
