Ken Rosenthal tweets that the Nationals have promoted 2009 first-round pick Drew Storen to the major leagues.


"Storen is their closer of the future, but Matt Capps and Tyler Clippard are doing a pretty good job at the end of games right now. The Nationals could be looking to use him in lower leverage, short relief situations to get him adjusted to the major leagues outside of a high-pressure environment. Nothing is a official yet, but rumors have been moving in this direction lately, so perhaps the Nationals will make a move after their game with the Rockies finishes".
