Sonavabench!

Exclamation when one sees that a player on their bench has had a monster day. "I started Conor Jackson over Adam LaRoche today. So what does LaRoche do? Hit two home runs. Sonavabench!" Now tell us yours.

Sonavabench!

Postby Steve » Tue Jul 22, 2008 8:28 pm

Brad Hawpe 3-5 with a dinger and 2 RBI. I have Markakis at RF and Text at Util so most of his HRs have come on my bench.

And I can't trade him to anybody!
This IS my f**king outlet!

If it makes you feel better, I had Davis on my bench.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Let today be dubbed Pete's Revenge - I didn't check my starting pitchers far enough out and while on the road today listened to Galarraga throw a gem. Got home to confirm it in the RCL while Nolasco, also on the bench, was in the 2nd scoreless. Sonavabench what great WHIP and ERA numbers for the pine. Damn it!

Long time reader, first time poster. Bengie's two homers when he is my normal c over varitek was a real sonavabench.

Why did you start Varitek over him? Wait, why do you have two catchers?

I started Varitek the previous day when Ben wasn't playing and didn't change it back. I am trying to get all my c games in for once in my life, no better alternatives on the ww anyway.

I think Sonofabench is a common enough term to warrant it's own category.
14 team h2h keeper (keep 5), $101 FAAB budget. C,1B,2B,SS,3B,MI,CI,U,5SP,2RP... It's standard 5x5, but we use quality starts instead of wins. I currently have $1 left in FAAB money.

Jeremy Hermida - 2HR/2RBI/3R

Yar. He's been streaky lately and I had a bad feeling but I played Granderson and Loney, who I did not see was not starting in tiiiiime... so Hermida's 2 HR sat on my bench, while so did Loney in reality!

Har.
