Figured we needed to start a topic for the league. This looks as good as anywhere else.

The draft is this Thursday at 7:30 EST. After the teams are established I'll post the league URL for all you peeping toms. Everybody knows getting your asskicked is that much better when the world is pointing and laughing.

I have a feeling this is going to be a very active league.

Ok, I am a little intimidated right now- just kidding 8-)

Seriouslty though I looked at a bunch of the Yahoo profiles and the amount of championships some of these guys have had is impressive. I think I am going to have to do my homework

I was noticing that too. I thought I was doing well with my 2 or 3 baseball championships but some of our leaguemates have nothing but bling. Going to be a long couple of nights studying Funston's Big Board . . . if I want to lose. That guy and his damn board are a joke.

To get off topic a bit, he always says that thing is framed as if you were drafting today. So why then does he go off of hot and cold streaks? Does he really expect the guy who just hit 5 homeruns in the last week and jumped into his top 10 to do that all season? What a moron.

I'm getting wicked excited about the draft on Thursday night. Have never done a midseason draft but I can't really see players' values changing that much except for maybe a Josh Hamilton climbing way up the board. Should be fun I like active leagues it will be a change from my 2 other leagues

Auto-drafting makes baby jesus cry.

:(

Maybe I could pen a guest column at Razzball about the trials and tribulations of turning an auto-draft team into a RCL superpower.

It could be called "Fresh From The Oven: Biscuits Rising"

This is only my second year playing with Yahoo. I used TQS, CBS and ESPN for the past 6 years or so. I can't figure out why Yahoo? has such a lock on fantasy sports.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the draft on Thursday. It'll allow me to test a new strategy I've come up with, which includes drafting players Grey hates to draft.

Finally, you make some sense.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

It is weird that Yahoo is the fantasy baseball king. I usually play on Sporting News. They have free leagues with live scoring. You have to pay for that shizz on yahoo. I did find a way to get around that on yahoo. It isn't great, but gives you basic stats for your teams as the games are played. You have to download Firefox -- http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/5143
