Replacing J-Ro

Postby mtw02 » Thu Apr 15, 2010 6:14 am

Lost J-Ro and am in a very deep league. Only slop left on the wire. This is as good as it "Getz." Who do you like most?

Pennington
S. Sizemore
J. Peralta
Callaspo
Getz
Barmes
Scutaro
Renteria
Arias

Ugh. Terrible choices. Hoping J-Ro is out the 10-14 days rather than the full month.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Scutaro, Sizemore, Peralta in that order.
"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always
so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

"The worst thing that can happen to a gambler is to win."

"When you bet on a dog only three things can happen; two of them are good."

I'd go Scutaro, Callaspo, Sizemore.

Scutaro is batting lead off at the moment with Ellsbury likely to hit the DL. He usually has a strong OBP. Pedroia, Victor Martinez, Youk and Big Papi are hitting behind him. He's certainly not going to hurt as bad as others can. J-Roll should come back when Ellsbury comes off the DL, assuming that's going to happen.

Callaspo has a nice upside. He tends to hit in the middle of the order. He's somewhat proven w/ a solid performance last season.

We have yet to see what Sizemore is going to do.
12-teamer, H2H, points, 4 keepers.
Hitters: +1 single, +2 dbl, +3 trpl, +4 HR, +1 RBI, +1 run, +1 BB/HBP, -1 K, +2 SB, -1 CS
Pitchers: +1.5 IP, +1 K, -1 BB/HBP, +5 W, -3 L, +4 S, -2 BS, +3 CG, +10 shutout
Start one player at each position + utility, 4 SPs, 2 RPs. 8 reserves.

C: Y. Molina, K. Schwarber
1B: Votto
2B: Dozier
3B: Seager, Carpenter
SS: Iglesias
OF: Bautista, Braun, Rios
U: Teixeira (also have Schwarber, Carpenter, Conforto & Alex Guerrero as options)
SP: four of J. Shields, Pineda, Carrasco, Salazar, Samardzija, Heston, U. Jimenez, Cashner
RP: D. Robertson, F. Rodriguez
