Trini (Psychic Friends Network – RCL 22) moved into first place in the Master standings with 107 points, pushing Achilles (Tennessee Mash – RCL 25) down to third. Big Magoo (Matthew Berry is a Tool) remained in 2nd, just 1 point back. The Psychics had excellent pitching, finishing with a 2.40 ERA and 1.05 WHIP. Schmo Hawks (Beef SAGNOF!) and NYC Matthole (Ones are GOOD right?) round out the top 5, followed by 2 teams from RCL 3 – captainpyper and Team Birdis. Wanted a Hanley and Got a B.J. (Fausto or Roberto?) made the biggest move this week, gaining 22 points to surge from 373rd to 111th place in the standings.

RCL 9 and the ECFBL continue to lead the competitive index battle with a mark of 104. RCL 9 leads in 2 statistical categories, wins and strikeouts, while the East Coast League now leads in runs, home runs, RBI, steals, ERA, and saves. The other categories are lead by Conshellation Prize (average), and RCL 41 (WHIP).

Hitting bested pitching for the most part this week. While 20 teams did manage to record an ERA under 2, the league-wide average was 4.07. 138 teams were over 5 and now over two thirds of RCL teams have a season ERA of 3.50 or worse.

Expert LeagueRudy has taken over top spot and moved up to 51st overall. Jeff Francouer was Rudy’s best player, hitting .440 with 4 home runs and a steal.  Grey is also in this league. I’m trying to get confirmation of the rumor that this site will soon be called Rudy Gamble’s Razzball. Scott Pianowski (Karma Police) and Tim Dierkes (P.F. Flyer) each shot up over 100 spots to reach the top 200.

Trades: 65 players changed teams this week in 17 deals, running the total to 121 trades for the season. That sounds like a lot, but it only averages to 2.5 per league. And that includes 18 trades in the ECFBL. 11 leagues have not completed a trade; 9 more have 1 deal on the books. A few deals this week caused some raised eyebrows. In Beef SAGNOF! Justin Upton was traded for Chris Perez. Billy Butler was dealt for Adrian Gonzalez in Toads and Wet Rocks. In Sphinctory Staff Inflection, a huge 9-player deal saw Matt Wieters, Ryan Zimmerman, Denard Span, and Rafael Dolis exchanged for Jesus Montero, Eric Hosmer, Hanley Ramirez, Jeff Francoeur, and Ricky Romero. Magnificent Mustachioed Men saw a 5-for 5 trade: Howard Kendrick, Luke Scott, Tim Lincecum, J.J. Putz, and Johann Santana for Jose Altuve, Jake Peavy, Casey Janssen, James McDonald, and Joaquin Benoit. Felix Hernandez, Albert Pujols, Nelson Cruz, and Adam Dunn (3 times) were all moved as well. You can find all the trades in the fantasy baseball forums. Look for the RCL under “Everything Else.”
