Fantasy Football Kick Returners

Postby Untouchable » Thu Aug 20, 2009 9:48 pm

In a lot of leagues you recieve points for KR yards. In one of my leagues you recieve a point for every twenty yards and in another you recieve a point for every ten yards. I want to know who you think the top (Reciever or Running back)/Kick Returners would be.

It's important for you to let us know whether or not you're team can use CB's. Then we can give a fairly accurate list.

Pinning down a teams KR/PR situation is sometimes tough, but I'm working on a ranking for the right now.
Johnny Ringo: All right, 'lunger'. Let's do it.

One guy I would want is Josh Cribbs. He returns BOTH kickoffs and punts for the Browns. They're an awful team so he should get plenty of yards and is always a threat to score. He might also catch a few passes here and there. He's ranked waaay down on yahoo (in the 1200 or 1300's I believe). So tons of value in your format.

Yeah it's just Wrs and Rbs in my league no defensive players. Joshua cribbs, nice. I actually heard he might get more involved in the offense. What about Johnnie Lee Higgins does he get both punt returns and kick returns, should he get a lot of touches on offense? Any other suggestions would help out a lot.

I am in a league that counts KR/PR yardage also. It's stupid but it is what it is. Most people don't pay enough attention to it. What it essentially does is deepen the pool of serviceable RB/WR's. So what I try to do is in the 1st 3 rounds draft 2 elite WR's and an elite QB. So here it is, the "El Dorado" of draft lists for leagues that count KR/PR.

These players either return BOTH kicks and punts or they return one of them and are also 3rd WR/Backup RB's which means they will be starters if the guy in front of them gets hurt. I've listed them sequentially by draft position (which is in parenthesis). These are the Yahoo rankings so I don't know if that's different from ESPN or not. One guy in my league is on Razzball a lot like me so I'm hoping he doesn't get ahold of this list but he's probably got a similar one anyway.

7) LeSean McCoy (102)

8) Ahmad Bradshaw (110)

9) Jerious Norwood (125)

10) Percy Harvin (139)

11) Jeremy Maclin (161)

12) Devone Bess (196)

13) Johnnie Lee Higgins (1398)

14) Josh Cribbs (1743)

Forgot to mention if you want to keep track of this stuff throughout the season this is, in my mind, the best depth chart out there. To find KR/PR just take a look at the RB/WR on each team and they'll have (KR,PR) behind their name if they are a returner. They update this list daily as far as I know.
