Who to keep?

Postby vanwill9 » Fri Aug 07, 2009 8:07 am

In a league that starts 2 QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, and has 1 WR/RB spot.
Can keep 6 guys.
I'm keeping Brees, Colston, MJD, Chris Johnson, R.Grant, but can't decide on my 6th keeper.
It's between Reggie Bush, Desean Jackson, and Chris Cooley. I figured all along it would be Bush, even though he would be coming off the bench on my roster. But now I'm leaning towards Jackson after hearing how well he is doing in camp.
What do people think? I've tried real hard to trade Bush but have gotten no takers.

id definitely go with Desean. a 2nd WR is more valuable to you than a 4th RB. Bush would only get in your lineup a handful of times, while desean would be in there every week.

Agreed unless you feel like you'll be able to grab WR's in the draft, but with 6 keepers that will probably be tough. But even straight up it is tough to go with Bush even though he could catch 60-70 passes IF he could stay healthy!
Johnny Ringo: All right, 'lunger'. Let's do it.
Doc Holliday: Say when.

Very good point! If it's a PPR league, i might even keep him and trade Grant or Johnson. Johnson's value won't get much higher than it is right now. If you can find a team that doesnt have RB depth, you could get an elite WR and a possible keeper for next year like mendenhall/rice.

It's not PPR, otherwise Bush would be no problem.
I do like the idea of trying to swap Chris Johnson for an elite WR though.
I think I will try that although I am pretty high on him as a great future stud RB.

non PPR, i'd hold onto CJ. Mo-Jo & CJ are a great 1-2 punch, ESPECIALLY in a keeper league! I'd only move CJ if it was PPR. PPR makes Bush a good #2 guy. so with Mo-Jo being an elite option, then Bush and Grant both solid #2's, an elite WR would be more valuable to your team than CJ. Bush and Grant are just too risky in non-PPR leagues IMO. Although there's a good chance 1 of them will do good, an injury to Mo-Jo/Bush/Grant would leave you pretty slim.
