What to do with my pitching staff?

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

What to do with my pitching staff?

Postby chenemy » Thu Jun 26, 2008 10:18 pm

I've tried and tried to explore trades, but can't seem to be able to get anything done with any of the 9 other teams in this one league...

Anyways, league is pretty shallow so the waiver isn't so bad. In fact, more than half my pitching is from the waivers :P

I'd like to see if I should be swapping any of my starters with any that's available on the waivers, I've also got Bruce and Aviles benched in my lineup

My SPs:
Billingsley
Scott Baker
Pedro
Duchscherer
Zambrano
Javier Vazquez
Lester
Wandy
Carpenter (DL)

Some guys that I considered picking up from the waivers:
Maine
Guthrie
Garza
Danks
Parra
Slowey (i liked him a lot coming into this year)

Help! :|

I can't believe Maine, Guthrie, Garza and Parra are all on your waiver wire. Are people paying attention in that league? I'd drop Pedro for Maine. Then you're staff is pretty solid, but I'd keep a close eye on Lester.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

They've all been owned and dropped as spot starters, etc, I've actually owned all of them at one point and dropped them too :P

I won't be starting Lester for a bit, I mainly have him as a trade bait to a sox fan owner.

Anyways, thanks Grey, I'll make the move.
