Another owner willing to trade me Markakis if Broxton is included. Not sure if he would do that straight up or not. Would that be a fair/good for me trade?

A second owner willing to part with Papelbon. Offer Quentin straight up? I imagine he will try for Billingsley instead, which I probably won't want to do. I would probably only go for Papelbon if I trade Broxton.

It is a keeper league, with Broxton and Billingsley being the best keeper options of the names mentioned.

Another option would be to sit tight and hope one of Dukes/Rasmus/Reimold/Quentin can cut it for me the rest of the way.

thanks!

Papelbon owner not interested in Quentin, but Bills, Zobrist or Utley. Zobrist for Papelbon straight up too little to offer? Could throw in Hawkins, but probably won't take that.

OK, Markakis owner would do the deal straight up for Broxton. Still stuck with Quentin though. League uses k/9, where Broxton is king. Thoughts?

Do that trade IMMEDIATELY. Yes Broxton kills in K/9 but remember he will only pitch 1/3 the innings of a starter and therefore his impact on that category will not be as heavy as you think. Also relievers in general get a lot more K/9 for a number of reasons. If Bailey from Oakland is available you can grab him (2nd most k's of any reliever behind Broxton). Trading relievers for hitters is exactly what you want to do if you are savvy fantasy player, especially in 12 team. Markakis will hit .310-.340 with some pop and is dialed in at the 3 hole in a potent lineup (RBI's) plus he's got a good eye (OBP). He is a much less replaceable commodity.

OK, will make that offer now. Offer Quentin for Lidge and forget about Papelbon? Is Zobrist a sell high or for real, I guess is the real question.
