Unless you have O.Cab and his hot streak is carrying your team. You're totally screwed when he goes back to sucking.

Hootie once sang that "it's alright to cry... crying takes the sad out of you." And by the way, I'm not a drama queen... I'm a drag queen. HUGE difference.
14 team h2h keeper (keep 5), $101 FAAB budget. C,1B,2B,SS,3B,MI,CI,U,5SP,2RP... It's standard 5x5, but we use quality starts instead of wins. I currently have $1 left in FAAB money.

Daniel Plainview is officially an also ran. I've never been an also ran.

Hell, I don't even know what that is.

Only thing I can come up with is.......also ran*

Show-Seabiscuit

* Daniel Plainview, I'm Your Huckleberry, Bacon Bits, RodBeck's DoubleWide, and the 2008 Chicago Cubs also ran.

Indifferent Fielders -
Board post 7/12/08:
Re: Rocco
I'm waiting for someone to pick up Smoltz.

Go on, you know you want to.

:?: Indifferent Fielders adds Rocco Baldelli on July 17th.

So the question to the Baron - Are YOU picking up Smoltz next? I hear Trot Nixon strained his left groin trying to get on your team.

Huge trade in the RCL, some would say stupid trade but Pork would be proud.

Desperate to jumpstart my team I fired the manager, Dr Suess, and replace him with my recently hired managing general partner, Marge Schott.

Marge is a great baseball mind even in death and the first thing she said to me was "Hippo, hack, cough, hhhaawwkkk, ptooey,.........give me another one of them smokes Sweetie."

"We gotta move this Utley guy honey, he's bringin the whole team down, FFFFFAAARRRT, ow burritos backed up on me."

Long story short and I gotta get outta this room before it blows.

Dogs of Summer trades with Marge Schott, aka Hippo, aka Daniel Plainview, aka Dr Suess.

Rollins, Vlad, Nathan

for

Utley, Billingsley, C Guile, Kaz Mat

I don't know whether to applaud or puke.

It's pretty fair trade. I'd prefer the Utley side, but anyone would. At least you don't have to worry about Kaz anymore, right?

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

I'm pretty happy with it. Not that I expect grand results being in GD 10th with no signs of flotation coming along soon. Not sure about this Kaz character - had him on my team last year and dropped him. He and Guillen allowed me to get rid of Harris, great FA pool we have in the RCL. Well, back to drawing board to try and set a new record for the week while PB is testing. Want to give him something to write about when he gets back in town.

Dogs of Summer and Rodbeck trade:

Dogs send Parra and Mauer to Rod's Doublewide for Iannetta, Mike Jacobs, and Backne

The talks worked through some tough negotiations as both sides discussed mere decimals. It was a last minute free agent pickup of Gagne that helped Rod get his Parra.
By risking things with Gagne Summer dog is hoping to ride the last couple of good outings and help his ERA and WHIP numbers that he lost in the trade with Hippo.

Either way this week has allowed Summer Dogs to add some Pop to the shitty lineup that can't hit a beachball. Mauer, Doumit, Rollins, Vlad became Iannetta, Jacobs, Utley, CGuillen, Clement, and KMatsui. Pitching took a hit with moving Nathan and Parra out while taking in Gagne and Carmona.

Hippo put it well, "A Dog and a Hippo got together and shit all over each other's teams." Then a Cub came along and thought it looked like fun.

Looks like Utley already likes the change of scenery.

That's a fair trade. But I thought people were supposed to be taking advantage of Iowa.
